@@dplj4428 I’m sorry; I don’t understand your second question… feeling for the brachial pulse is more so for people who are new to checking blood pressure. Once you are used to it, you will know exactly where to place your stethoscope. I hope that answers your first question.
You're tutorial has been encouraging for me in this profession. You don't know how much this means & how much I've felt defeated because I don't know how to take someone's blood pressure. Thank you 😊
I am a physician and this is the clearest, most easily understandable and most comprehensive video that I have seen about taking manual BPs. Thank you so much for posting this and I will be giving the link to all my hypertensive patient families who are interested in doing manual BPs for more accurate readings.
@@MedicalAssistingwithMsK Me too! I watched multiple videos, and I was so confused and about to give up... But your video makes so much more sense and because of you I think I learned it now. Thank you! :)
Thank you so much, for being so clear, and concise making this very understandable. This was my hardest to get past, when I first became a CNA. I was thankful they sent me to work at nursing homes, where the nurses took the vital signs. But there were times when I was asked to take vitals. Mostly, they had the computerized blood pressure wristbands, so they weren't hard. But I remember one time I had to use the manual one, and I was in the patient room alone trying to do this. The patient was incoherent, so he was unaware of my not knowing, and I was feeling so frustrated tears started rolling down my face. Another CNA passed by, and saw me crying, and thought it was because the nurse had been rough telling me to take the BP, which was part of the reason, but it mainly was because I couldn't use the manual BP, but I wasn't about to tell the CNA. At any rate she took the BP for me. And you best believe when I went home I began to practice, practice, practice using manual BP. Thanks again for putting it out there, in it's most simplified way.
God wanted me to see this brought me to your channel I am a medical assistant and doing my internship now as I write and I'm am having a little difficulty I think I be nervous at times but practice makes perfect thank you for this video God bless you
Thank you Ms. K. I didn't read all the other comments but I would suspect that other people have mentioned that there were two things that you pointed out in your video that other videos on RU-vid never mentioned! One was that the thumb has a pulse and not to put your thumb on the bell side of the stethoscope, and the other was how to check your stethoscope to make sure it is "on." I think it is a fitting testimony to how much is expected of medical professionals to see that although this video has been viewed more than 34,000 times only 576 people gave this video a thumbs up 👍. Yours is a great video It must be due to the fact that the majority of the people watching your video need to learn this fast. Most people in medical school don't have time for 8 hours of sleep and three meals a day 😳 much less, take the time to thumbs up a video or write a comment. Thank you again! Like I said Ms. K. - it's a great video! Signed: Mr. Smith 🙂
Thank you so much. Your video made since and it made me feel good knowing it's okay that I am having trouble understanding. You're the first to say the little lines are in count of 2!!!! Thank you ❤❤❤❤
I appreciate this video. Myself and my wife just enrolled in school to become MA’s and we are struggling to take BP right. Definitely gonna use this as a guide.
Thank you so much I’m practicing to be a CNA for long term care!! And b/p is pretty hard for me to read but you explain it so clearly and it helped a lot so THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Thank you so much for sharing this video! I started my first MA class Saturday! I ran to Walmart and bought similar to this! Next class is lab and we will be taking blood pressure! Your explanation was definitely helpful!
@MedicalAssistingwithMsKThank you soooo much for putting up this video! I have been really struggling to take a manual BP and out of all the videos i looked at, this was THE MOST clear and concise demonstration!
I'm studying to be an EMT and my practical sessions are in two weeks and this video alone has helped me so much because I use the same sphygmomanometer from Amazon so it was real easy to follow along thank you Queen.
I tend to cheat a bit and look at the needle pause/jump purely out of necessity in loud environments. This one looked like a 110/68 with that method but definitely in the ballpark with the audio you received. Awesome tutorial!
Omg this is the best explanation have been doing it wrong at the hospital … I noticed I have to fight with my instinct to give a correct figure. Thank you for this…
I haven’t started my MA schooling yet, I start in August, but I was curious because people in my MA group talk about you and so I looked you up and wow! This video is amazing & I’ve always wondered how to do it and now I know and it’s so cool! 😂 I’m so excited to learn and do it hands on
your video was clear and concise and better than any nursing school instructor ! If your practicing doing manual how can you check if your readings are right
Hey! I’m glad this was helpful :) As far as knowing if your numbers are correct, I’m assuming you’re referring to practicing at home? If so, you actually won’t know if your numbers are correct unless someone is checking behind you. What I tell my students is that you can be confident in the numbers you are getting at home if you’re getting them right in class.
Wow! Miss. You are so amazing. There's a lot of tutorials out there but yours is the most clears and understandable, you did step by step. Thank you for this. Godbless you. Anyway im neither a nurse or any of those professions that need to learn this 😂 I watch tutorials for my mother who is a BHW. And she is so hopeless in taking a Blood Pressure.
Thank you very much maam,I was doing this practical at school yersteday bit i couldn't n't get it right but after watching your video i understood a lot.You are a God sent.
Thank you so much for this video , I’m a healthcare assistant (newly employed) and I’d really appreciate if you can do a full video on how to take the other vitals too pls 🙏🏻🙏🏻 thanks once more
Thank you for this video! I got on here due to buying a kit for $12 on Amazon that inflated cheaply and during each inflate, it would come undone at the Velcro. I’ll try this one here in the link. 💖
I was keeping my thumb on the stethoscope and was having THE HARDEST time hearing the top number. I’m gonna try your method of holding it on the sides or nearby the tubing. Thank you!
Thankuuuu...so much ...Ms.k for helping me with this.I was really confused with checking the bp but this video helps me to understand it very easily.expecting more videos like this from uu❤❤
@@MedicalAssistingwithMsK this was giving me such a hard time I have the same color and everything lol ... Saturday is skills exam thanks you so much I finally got it.. finally!!
Thanks so much for imparting clear knowledge towards assessing BP to either individuals, 🙏🙏 I wish I could where you are in a physical manner towards serving the people of GOD
