How To Check The Dyson V15 Detect For Blockages 

Thank you the blockage indicator was driving me nuts. I always wondered how the dust and dirt entered the bin, sliding the bin down exposed a smallish hole where I found the blockage thanks to your video 🎉🎉

Great video. I was still having the "airways blocked" message when the vacuum was trying to go to a higher speed on carpet (auto mode). Even after I'd washed/dried my older filter. So I replaced the filter with an aftermarket one from Amazon and the vacuum is like a new one! Much stronger suction!

Thank you for info . Some of info I had worked out myself but good to know I was guessing correctly. I also found that cat litter got caught in brush combs which initially was very alarming it made a worrying sound but was easily rectified by taking anti hair rap roller off and teasing out with finger or cotton bud. It only caught a particular size of cat litter and I now use fluffy laser roller head attachment instead near litter tray that works perfectly at picking up. The occasional cluster of cat litter is usually fine with anti hair rap roller. I am very happy with my Dyson v15 but haven’t yet removed filter as only used for around a week. I bought a new separate filter from dyson that is HEPA grade and was told this will work on my model in place of the dyson purple filter as I’m asthmatic this maybe better for me although original purple filter that came with machine very good 😊 I thought as I use dyson so frequently second filter good idea for me because then I can swap filters out and not need to worry about length of time it takes to dry ( which is 24 hours plus) I think dyson screen would warn me when filter needed changing. Dyson suggest 4 weeks but I don’t know if my use over last week has been typical … probably not I have had numerous full bins of dust because cordless vac so good at going everywhere compared to my corded 16 year old dyson. Expensive product but if you have pets , children or simply enjoy convenience then a good purchase

Yes for us it was the rear filter that was the ‘blockage’

didn’t clear mine…..UGH!! I followed all the steps but found no blockage but it still displays error n shuts down. HELP?

Dyson says airway blocked but no blockage how?

No it’s not a good idea as my V11 is showing airway’s blocked without anything attached wand or cleaning head.Always cleaning the filter after every use and it’s still showing the same message at the top.I have cleaned all suggested part’s it’s more trouble than it’s worth for €600.

I used dish soap and warm water to clean out the filter. Now when I turn on the vacuum bubbles comes out of the top of the filter. Still trying to fix it.

Thanks for posting. By the way, I don't think you are supposed to clean the paper portion of the filter with water, only the purple front end which is marked with 'water tap' symbols.
