This video shows you how I check the oil on my Honda Odyssey. Tools needed are a piece of absorbent paper, like a napkin or paper towel. Make sure to follow your owner's manual when adding any fluids. It is essential to check your oil levels in-between oil changes, especially on longer trips, to avoid problems during your journey.

My name is Catherine and I overfilled my oil. I looked at that then I looked how to properly add oil I’m 60 years old and I’m self-sufficient my partner passed away last year in December and I’m learning how to do everything on my own. Thank God for people like you on RU-vid very much appreciate it. Thank you.

I too am 60 years old and self sufficient. I have a Honda Odyssey and this is my first time with a dip stick like that. I had no clue. And I have overfilled also but that was a while back. I like your video but I wish you would explain more exactly where the level should be. I caught what you said but I already knew. Back when I was trying to figure it out, I would not have been sure of what you were saying as far as where the level should be. Maybe you move a little fast for this 60 yr old. 😉 But I appreciate videos like this a whole lot. I always say "you can learn to do just about anything on RU-vid". It has become my new Google!

I put it in 2 liters but nothing does not appear oil should I put it more?

If your car is level and you have started the car for a few seconds and turned it off, you still find yourself low on oil, I personally would have added till it registered on the dipstick. You also want to make sure not to add too much, please share an update, thanks.

Thanks a bunch for watching my video and taking the time to comment. It is best to follow the engine oil spec guide for your specific engine. Different Hondas require different oils.
