Could you also do a one inch wrap test to see how many WPI to determine what size it is?

A Yarn wrap is always the first choice Pam - this is just a quick guide - you have two balls of yarn in front of you and you want to find out quickly with minimal fuss if they are the same weight. A wrap will give you the same information, but you will have to do two wraps to find out - a bit more effort - a I say, this is the quick answer!
