vibration in industrial equipment is sometimes part of the normal operation but some time it can be sign of trouble.
vibration can be defined as the mechanical oscillation about an equilibrium #position of a machine or component. Or simply the back and forth motion of a machine or component.
In machine monitoring we are dealing with two types of vibration #axial and radial vibration .
Contactless #proximity probe are usually mounted on the #turbines, these sensors use Eddy current principal for measurement. buffered output from these sensors are always available.And these #output we used for measurement.
Eddy current #sensors function is simple.The output voltage is proportional to the #distance between sensor and shaft.
Accelerometers are device that #measure the vibration or acceleration of motion of a structure,
There are two types of #piezoelectric #accelerometers ,High impedance and low impedance.
A strain gauge is a sensor those resistance varies with applied force ،it converts force pressure ،tension، weight ،etc., into a change in electrical resistance which can then be measured،
#Eddy-current sensors are non-contact devices that measure the position and/or change of position of a conductive component, these sensor operate with magnetic field,
