I have a Wyve Twin Pin. My first true twin. Tried Aipa fins first but the board was too squirrely. Then I got the Machado Too Fish Keels. Now the board has a nice mix of drive and being loose. Holds a steep pocket and can be thrown around easily. You must have over $1k in fins in this video 🙂

My boards have fcs2. • Mark Richard’s midlength: I like Surf n Show(Noel salas) HP twins and also power twin with trailer(yes they also can come with trailer) • Christenson Long Phish 7’6: I like both al Merrik keel and modern keel. Both different feel but I do like them both.

I imagine the MR mid is special. Those HP twins look to have the same area as my fave CC Keels. Nice dimensions. I've never seen a trailer for the FCS2 JS Power twin, interesting. Good video! Thanks. I’m close to 200 pounds so I tend to push my fins hard. I I have a 7-10 twin of my own design that had big Mark Richard’s Futures twins. I set the boxes pretty far forward so the Mark Richard’s made it feel too pivoty and it lacked drive. Tried it with a small trailer but that felt too much like a thruster. Tried it with a Slater Nubster and still not enough drive. I made another board and was about to sell the 7-10 but then I put a set of honeycomb Rastovich Sea Shepherd keels on it and now I love the board! The Sea Shepherds are very thin and concave on the inside (vectors) so are incredibly fast but turn really well because they have a lot of flex. After all these years of surfing I’m still shocked at how much a different set of fins will radically change a board.

being a winged squash tail it might work. I certainly had some good surfs on a rounded pin tail quad using twins. I tried the CC Keels Honeycomb. A small rider version is the NVS ONO. @blinksurf
@blinksurf 9 месяцев назад
you dont want the fin moving in the box @@robertkurzweil1833 I have had some fins too tight (needed sanding) or too loose. Try turning the screw a little further but be careful not to strip it. Ask the shop you bought them from to replace if they are not anle to be secured. If you bought them second hand you might also use some tape on the fin base to thicken it. I did that for a single fin that was wobbly. FCS give you a small pad to put under single fins to tighten them up if they are too loose.
