Guidelines When Selecting Frames
What is your face shape? Heart / diamond, round, square, and oval are the type of facial shapes. Alpha presents and discusses the following cheat sheet to help you assess your face shape.
The proportion (size) of the frames that you are wearing need to balance (face and frame) unlike face shape that contrast. Aaron illustrates the rules-of-thumb for frames for specific face shapes with examples as well as demonstrates balancing proportion:
Round faces need frames that are wider than tall to elongate your face
Square faces / jaw need rounder and softer frames to lengthened and soften the natural angularity
Oval shapes need symmetrical and not too structure frames to maintain natural balance

Gucci, Ray bans, Dolce Gabana, etc are produced by one and isn't even designed by those brands. Since the company has a monopoly, it can set whatever price it wants.

it all depends on how the person themselves feels about the appearance of the glasses. Face/jaw shape has a lot to do with it for many. if someone liked a certain style on me, id look in the mirror while (looking for frames after getting a new prescription) wearing them, but I would strongly disagree. Just examples. However, I do agree with you there.

Always has great vision all my life and now, 31 going on 32, my sight is starting to fade. More so in my right eye and it’s becoming more noticeable lately. Making an eye appointment in two week to get a prescription and I’m so overwhelmed by the decision on frames. Your video gave me a little perspective into what to expect. Thanks. I really dislike how nowadays there are mostly only huge glasses. I think I only look good with the ones without the frames that go all around the lenses, just on top and with as narrow lenses as possible, but those are so damn hard to find nowadays. Wherever you look, they only sell those humongous glasses that you could easily wear as facial protection for doing metalworks or heavy-duty chemistry.

Wouldnt be surprised to run into one of those those in an eyewear shop nowadays, tbh. But yeah, not sure what club masters are, admittedly, but had a pair of Oakley slim sunglasses that were half-rimmed and looked amazing but unfortunately lost them a while ago. Now I'm rocking a pair of Maui Jim Makaha sunglasses and though they look good, they're don't look as good as the previous ones I lost. YourTrulyFriend Aviators are a great fir for square faces. The stronger your face features are, the bigger you should go for. For delicate features, it is recommended to go for a small to medium sized frame.

It's the National Healthcare Service. If you get seriously hurt then you don't have to pay for the doctors yourself, instead the government pays for it. This ends up branching out into things like glasses or hearing aids also.

I have a square face and I'd like to firmly disagree, I look disgusting with rectangular glasses, after changing into a rounder shape, I've realized just how much better my (already ugly) face looks, I don't look like an old guy at his 50's anymore.

Just use contacts, you can avoid the nerdy & hipster look then On a side note I find women with glasses hot, I like the secretary look.

***** Actually, eyes can get better. My first glasses for my right eye where -3.00 strong, but know I only need glasses of -2.25. (around 6 years of difference)

Benedek Verburg Maybe because you were nearsighted as a child (the muscles around your eye were too tight) creating good vision up close but bad for far away. As people get older their muslces relax and in your case the muslces relaxed and the strength of your glasses decreased. For far sighted people...well we're shit out of luck and the muslces only get worse. But to be clear this isn't that your eye got better.
