I would add about the native fruit that villagers will carry around that fruit juice sometimes. So if your native fruit is cherries, they will carry a pink drink, oranges an orange drink, etc... I'm sure a lot of people wouldn't care but I love that my villagers carry around a pink drink on my island :)
I'm about to start playing again after years with a fresh island, so this video is just what I need! Last time my sister and my wife both got islands with normal-length docks and mine was stubby, much to their amusement.
I’ve restarted my island without knowing that different airport colors exist. I also did not know that you couldn’t move the Resident Services, because i never unlocked it. Thank you so much!
I finally got a second switch to make more islands/more themes and even as someone who watchs tons of ACNH youtube content and plays for hours every day, this video was so helpful! I didn't know the colours of items and airport tip! Thank you for making this video!
Really good video and good points, but I think one point that is kinda important too is the secret beach location For example on my very first island, my secret beach was hidden behind cliffs and I didn't discover it until Redd was added to the game (I wasn't following much about the community either at that time which didn't help me to find out) and because I kept my island quite natural on a terraforming level In more recent islands I even had open access to my secret beach from the beginning of the game (or as soon as the first bridge was built) which was more convenient in my opinion
Good point! My newest island has an open pathway to the secret beach naturally and I love it as well! Although sometimes it might be fun to discover it later on 😄
i feel so embarrassed because my residents station is really close to my airpot and my house is like between them and i already feel like restarting my island..:(

Hi! Thank you very much for the video 🙏🏼 something I really want to know is when will I be able to change the colors of the streetlights? mine are black but I’d love to have white ones. Also a white vending machine. I’ve seen a few comments saying they aren’t able to do it.
You can eventually customize/change the color of those items at Harv’s Island :) you just have to play long enough to get that storyline going (I think you need to have completed the main game story so get your island to 3 stars - I’m not 100% sure though - & visited Harv at least once before) & then upgrade the services on that island. You’ll need get Reese and Cyrus’s customization shop for that!
I have restart my second Island a few days ago... I really hated the rivers... so I was searching for perfect rivers because I hate terraforming and I found them! Villagers are OK one good one meeeeh and fruits... orange is OK not best but OK and I don't know my sister fruit right now so I'll see this
Yeah terraforming can be a lot and especially if you don’t wanna do a lot of that it’s good to find an interesting map that already look good in your eyes and doesn’t require much terraforming then ☺️ I’m glad you found a great map in the end! Also the good thing is that villagers and fruit can be replaced quite easily! 🙌🏼
I just got the new Zelda OLED switch and I’m starting a new island, i closed out my game so many times at the start and I got my favorite map, fruit and airport color. But I’m not a fan of my starters 😅🤍
