I'm going to show you how to choose your contour shade like a pro! I'll talk through exactly how you should select the right shade contour and make it super easy for you to understand. You will finally understand what different contour shades do and how to pick yours!
In this video I'll explain how to choose your contour shade and show you different contour shades so you can also see the difference when choosing the right shade.

This was so helpful. I’ve been thinking of learning how to contour my face forever and it’s hard to find a video that doesn’t just apply the makeup to the model but actually describes the process of what to look for. This video actually helped so much. The way you were talking about undertones as well made so much sense. That first shade you used. The fenti one? Is what I’ve been looking for. I’m very pale and have those kind of blueish/purpley undertones and do my makeup pretty pale. A shade like that is perfect for me to contour. Especially with the way I do my makeup. Could you recommend places or fairly priced brands where I can find shades like that because when I’m hunting for contour I can never find those greyish shades or I simply just don’t have that kind of money.

This is really helpful. Most people keep a darker shade of foundation for their summer skin if they tan. Perhaps matching your winter contour to your summer foundation could work?? For summer contour, choosing a more golden, pinkish or grey shade depending on how you tan. I know I'm more pink in summer, but more blue-like in winter.

I’ve been under painting my contour to transform my face for over 20 years. I actually learned from a book before RU-vid experience existed. I’m about the same color as you and I use what you considered the color that was too dark but it works perfectly because I under paint. That’s how I learned and I’m sticking to it lol.

Thank you so much Nina! I FINALLY found a drugstore contour shade that works for me and a cool toned contours are VERY difficult to find in drugstore makeup! It was diffusing too much on me and I have REALLY been struggling with it! It's because I have been using the wrong brush! Thanks again! So very glad I watched this video!

The RU-vidrs that do makeup when doing their contour they will sometimes say this is a cool tone contour and this is a warm tone and I prefer this one and most of the time it's the cool tone but I don't understand the difference and when shopping I've never looked on the package to see if it actually says if they are warm or cool so I'm hoping this video will help me.

I’ve never seen anyone explain things as well as you do!!! Great job…sent it along to my daughter and her friends! The one thing I notice some people have trouble doing is contouring a baby face/chubby cheeks or a round face to slim down! I always explain to my clients how to do it best to their face shape and where to avoid putting shadows! Maybe someday you can explain how to do that! I have big cheeks always have, but people pay money to have these 😂! Good video! ❤️

Well, my problem is, is that I have for example the shadow stick foundation of Anastasia Beverly Hills. It's a cool toned foundation. I have also had a NYX contour stick wich I don't remember the name of, and they both look very taupey. I am a very pale, pink undertoned person. As soon as I apply either of them, they look like a bronzer on my skin. When I hold the product next to my hand, you can see that the product looks Taupe, but on my face features/ or hand it looks like a bronzer. This makes me feel like contour does not work on me :(.

Hi Nina Hope you are doing well I have started following you few days back and loving your videos. Loved the way you are using concealer as contouring. You mentioned Marc Jacobs concealer tan 46 in most of videos. But i can see Sephora Austraila stop selling Marc Jacobs products. Do you mind sharing me other product which i can use as contouring. I have gone through your contouring videos but m liking Marc Jacobs one so not sure which one should i buy. Would be great if you share another product. Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Also if u use powder to contour u stick with powder, if u use a stick you can’t put powder over it cause it will cast?

I'm in need of some major advice. I don't have the financial needs to keep trying a billion different products I've spent more than I should on expensive foundations trying to get that airbrush finish and it's still not happening my pores I'm having the hardest time hiding my pores no matter how much concealer or what fantastic foundation I use I don't look airbrushed and I'm dying to get that finish any advice would be so appreciated....

Hey girl … personally I feel like no matter what you will see pores . Everyone has them . Some are bigger then others which make them harder to hide . I’m like you though , I spent so much money on expensive products trying to hide them when I realized I never will !! I still want flawless skin but gave up trying to hard pores completely !! It’s more than likely people you see on the Internet who look like they have none do, lighting and cameras help !! I hope you get some product recommendation that can still help tho !!!
