I’m not finding the Flare on my ledger X. Is it because if from NY? I did read a couple of years ago that residents of New York won’t get flare. Trash.
Hey - The Flare app is currently available while in developer mode (Settings > Experimental features > Developer mode). Let us know if you need further assist with this.
Thanks Joaquin - is your XRP address eligible for the drop and have you tried accessing your account via Metamask instead of Ledger Live? support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/7326303122589-How-to-access-your-Flare-account-via-Metamask?support=true You also want to make sure you're using the same device and recovery phrase that created the Ethereum address you registered for the claim. Let us know how it goes!
Ey mate I cannot find my flare, it says not registered, can you please help me? I don''t remember quite well but I claimed the flare I think before the 12 of december through xrp toolkit I think using an ethereum adress from metamask. I have a problem with my ledger since I think at the moment of registering for the airdrop I used a hardware wallet with some keys and then I changed the keys in that hardware wallet and put new ones, and bought a new hardware wallet and put the old keys. When I want to go inside the first hardware wallet eth adress it says to chech it is the same recovery phrase and bla bla bla. I don't kknow what to do, but I had like 40k xrp at the moment of the snapshot. I don't know if this was clear, I really appreciate any help, and great video!
What about if i created a second Ethereum account with adress in my ledger live. Now everytime i create FLR account it creates a FLR adress " linked " to my first main Ethereum account with zero FLR balance . How to deal with it ?
Hey 👋 don't worry. If you submitted your second ETH address for airdrop then you can claim your tokens via Metamask connected to Ledger and transfer it to your Ledger FLR account. It's completely safe to use the Ledger with Metamask. Instructions: support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/7326303122589-How-to-access-your-Flare-account-via-Metamask?support=true
Hello using Metamask is a good option in this case. You can learn more about it here support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/8676864409885-How-to-claim-your-Flare-FLR-tokens?support=true
As far as I remember if you registered and recieved the songbird there was nothing to do but wait for the flare drop, XRP scan says not registered... how can that be?
Thanks for the great video. I have a question to u and to all. I did a silly mistake tdy. I thought LUNC is on erc20 chain so i transferred some LUNc from Binance to ledger nano on ETH address. Lunc is not showing up under eth token. Does this mean lunc gone?
Hey there - no it's not gone Try connecting your Ledger Ethereum account to Metamask: support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/4404366864657-How-to-access-your-Ledger-Ethereum-ETH-account-via-Metamask?docs=true Then add LUNC as custom token: support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/6375103346077-Add-custom-tokens-to-MetaMask?docs=true Here's the contract address to add LUNC: 0xbd31ea8212119f94a611fa969881cba3ea06fa3d Hope this helps!
so have i ve seen on the xrp scan and im good i can claim but when i make an flr account on my ledger with my ethereum app but there is nothing in it? How is that possible and i checked my xrp adress and ethereum adress and its the same as on xrpscan but nothing
The meta mask route worked for me. I tryed the way through the ledger app but it didn’t work. I have my flare on meta mask but I don’t think I have all of what it said I should receive. But hey I guess better than nothing at all😂
Having trouble claiming FLR tokens. According to XRP scan I have FLR to claim. The issue I'm having is the Ledger device I used during the snapshot does not have enough space on the device to add an ETH account. I did participate in the air drop though. XRP scan proves it. I tried creating an ETH account on a new Ledger device but the FLR address and the ETH address are not matching. I don't have Metamask. Would that solve my problem?
Same! Flare address and xrpscan do not match and no flare received. I see this problem all over chat boards. Can we get some direction besides update your firmware and clear your cache
Hey ZCG - is your new Ledger device seeded with the same recovery phrase that's in the device that created the Ethereum account you used to claim the airdrop? If your new device is seeded with a different recovery phrase, the private keys will be different and give you different accounts. Regarding lacking storage space on the device, You can safely install/uninstall apps as needed. I would recommend you: 1- Grab your old device (the one that created the Ethereum account you used to claim the drop) 2- Free some storage space 3- Install the Ethereum app 4- Add a Flare account in LedgerLive: support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/4402728914577-Flare-FLR-?support=true or access your Flare account via Metamask: support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/7326303122589-How-to-access-your-Flare-account-via-Metamask?support=true Let us know how it goes!
Good video! I am still having trouble getting the Flare token icon to show up on my Ledger Live account. I have an Ethereum Legacy address. Would that be a problem? Then how do I get the Flare tokens into my Ledger account? Not sure if I have to transfer the tokens off of the Flare Network or if they will just show up under my Ethereum address once I figure out how to add Flare token to my Ledger account?
I went to XRPSCAN and show the Flare from the snapshot. However, it says address not registered. I use Ledger Live. Did I miss out or is there a way to register the Flare address?
Same problem for me, I got the songbird ok but there was far too much time for me to remember all the details, using XUMM and then Bifrost, too bloody complicated.
I wonder if Spanish moss would work for air layering? Anyone ever try using it down south? I know back in the day they used it for making mattresses (bed).
I used xrpscan and set up a trustline but think I put in my coinbase address instead of my ledger address. Is there anything I can do to resolve this mistake
Hey there - you don't need the Flare app to add a Flare account. Only the Ethereum (ETH) app is required. This could help: support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/4402728914577-Flare-FLR-?support=true Thanks!
Hey there - the two conditions to get the airdrop were: 1- You held XRP in your XRP wallet during the December 12, 2020 snapshot. and 2- You claimed the airdrop by submitting an ETH address before June 11, 2021 More on this here: support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/4402643414929-Flare-FLR-token-distribution-FAQ?support=true Hope this answers your question!
Hi, You are eligible to receive FLR tokens if: You held XRP in your XRP wallet during the December 12, 2020 snapshot. AND You claimed the airdrop by submitting an ETH address before June 11, 2021. If both this conditions are met then you can claim your XRP via instructions mentioned here 👇🏻 support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/8676864409885-How-to-claim-your-Flare-FLR-tokens
Please explain me - I have 2 ETH accounts in my ledger, one of which was made specificly for XRP/FLR purpose. I am adding FLR as an asset but its balance stays 0. I think it is because it connects to my main ETH acc. Is this the real reason or how to actaully connect my FLR so they apper in my acc? Upon checking my other ETH accoun in flr explorer it shows the correct number of FLR available.
Hey - Don't worry. If you submitted your second or third ETH address for airdrop then you can claim your tokens via Metamask connected to Ledger and transfer it to your Ledger FLR account. It's completely safe to use the Ledger with Metamask. Instructions: support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/7326303122589-How-to-access-your-Flare-account-via-MetaMask?support=true
Hey, just to share Windows 8.1 isn't supported by Windows anymore. This means that it does not receive security updates or technical support. This can make it more vulnerable to security threats, such as malware and hacking attempts.
I have an etherum spark account on Ledger Live and my FLR is not showing? Right address but when I check Not there? Everything else has been Verified and the FLR shows up in the XRP toolkit and XRPscan.
Hey there - you might need to update your device firmware. Please follow this guide to escape Bootloader mode support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/4405494501905-Device-stuck-on-Bootloader?support=true Then make sure to completely update your system: support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/8458939792669-How-to-perform-a-complete-update-of-your-Ledger-setup?docs=true Let us know if it worked!
This was an excellent presentation, but unfortunately for me, I am at a loss on what to do. I cannot remember how I set up my ETH account. I may have first done it through Metamask, but I do not remember what laptop I used, or even if I still have it. Had I known then what I know now I could have prevented all this confusion. Is there any way I can get this Flare off the XRPScan? I do believe I first set up ETH on Metamask and then transferred it to my Ledger. But again, each Metamask app if I remember is specific for its own browser and computer, so I cannot even log in to Metamask. I do have a recovery seed to set up again for Metamask and can try it, but I am not sure this will work. Assuming I do set up Metamask with what I think is the original seed phrase for my first ETH setup account, and this does not work, what are my options then? I really think this may be where I am at but will give it one more try as I did find another seed phrase for another Metamask app and could try it. The only thing I know is that when I set up my Flare drop more than two years ago, I used the XRP Toolkit and input my XRP account number into that memo. I did find the correct Ledger device that had that XRP account number in it by connecting my wallet to XRP toolkit and it showed my Flare drop balance with what looked like an ETH address number. Are you saying that I have to find the origin of where that ETH address was created in order for this Flare balance to appear in it? Is that how this is "transferred" to your wallet, whether it was from a Metamask or a Ledger wallet? I have no idea why I went through Metamask to do this ETH creation but now it is causing me alot of confusion as i have never used it since and don't remember what device I even used it on. This is not the way this should have been done and very very very confusing. Is there any way you can help me assuming I cannot get into the Metamask original wallet? Thanks
Hey - We'd be happy to reply to your request. > Is there any way I can get this Flare off the XRPScan? No, if you do not have access to your ETH address that you submitted for the airdrop then you will not be able to claim your tokens. > Assuming I do set up Metamask with what I think is the original seed phrase for my first ETH setup account, and this does not work, what are my options then? In this case you will not be able to claim the airdrop. > Are you saying that I have to find the origin of where that ETH address was created in order for this Flare balance to appear in it? Yes, that's correct indeed. Your tokens are sent to that ETH address submitted at the time of claim on the FLR network. Without your original Metamask wallet it will not be possible to claim this airdrop.
@@Ledger Your detailed response is appreciated. I hope all others understand this situation as I originally did not. I was very fortunate that I did find the correct seed phrase to recover the MetaMask app used for the ETH creation. But you are only part way there. Now you have to find the correct ledger device you originally had it paired to, so don’t throw out the app too soon if you have multiple Ledger devices like I do. Bottom line I successfully transferred the FLR tokens. One question that I do have concerns delegating on Ledger. Currently I had to put my FLR on BiFrost wallet. I prefer to have it on my Ledger but from what I read to do this, many steps were necessary to get it done. Now I have it automatically delegated twice a week on Bifrost and it is extremely easy to do. Can you do this on Ledger at this time? I would prefer it on my Ledger for sure and will be buying the new Stacks device when you get them distributed. Keep up your outstanding product line via security and ease of use.
Hey - you can stake your FLR tokens using a Ledger device however you'll need to use a third party app connected to your Ledger to confirm the transaction. Our help center article explains these steps in detail. We hope this helps. support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/8746706534685-How-to-wrap-and-delegate-Flare-FLR-tokens Appreciate your kind words and glad to hear that you were able to recover your tokens.
Why does it have to be so complicated. I used my eth address, but when I added flr it shows 0. When I look on XRP scan it is there though. Along with some Solo and VGB
Hey - do you have multiple ETH accounts in Ledger Live? If yes and you submitted your second ETH address for airdrop then you can claim your tokens via Metamask connected to Ledger and transfer it to your Ledger FLR account. It's completely safe to use the Ledger with Metamask. Instructions: support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/7326303122589-How-to-access-your-Flare-account-via-MetaMask?support=true
@@Ledger i didn’t have my (ETH) app open when I created (FLR Wallet 1). So I tried to create a 2nd FLR wallet while ETH was open, but it wouldn’t let me since the wallet had 0. I sent 10 FLR to that addy and then created a 2nd FLR wallet with my ETH app open and it showed up. Thanks for your response. Hope this helps someone else too.
Hey Wayne - is your XRP address eligible for the drop and have you tried accessing your account via Metamask instead of Ledger Live? support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/7326303122589-How-to-access-your-Flare-account-via-Metamask?support=true You also want to make sure you're using the same device and recovery phrase that created the Ethereum address you registered for the claim. Let us know if this helps!
Hey Michael - you'd just need to punch your recovery phrase into the new device to restore your private keys support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/4404382560913-Restore-your-Ledger-accounts-with-your-recovery-phrase?support=true and go through the claim process as described in the video. Hope this helps!
Hey Bruno - same as Stef above, Not Registered means that you're not eligible for the FLR distribution. You either did not hold XRP in the account through the December 12, 2020 snapshot or you did not registered an Ethereum account address before June 11, 2021 Learn more: support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/4402643414929-Flare-FLR-token-distribution-FAQ?support=true Registration for the distribution are now closed but you can still purchase FLR on exchanges Thanks!
Hey - you don't actually need the FLR app. You can use ETH app instead and access your tokens via Metamask. Instructions here 👇 support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/7326303122589-How-to-access-your-Flare-account-via-Metamask?support=true
Hey - yes that is correct indeed. You can the use the instructions mentioned in our article here support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/7326303122589-How-to-access-your-Flare-account-via-Metamask?support=true
Hey Alexander - Not registered means that your account is not eligible for the airdrop as decided by the XRP community. The two conditions to get the airdrop were: 1- You held XRP in your XRP wallet during the December 12, 2020 snapshot. and 2- You claimed the airdrop by submitting an ETH address before June 11, 2021 More on this here: support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/4402643414929-Flare-FLR-token-distribution-FAQ?support=true Hope this helps!
Thanks for the great tutorial video. I followed the steps and I can confirm on xrpscan that I am legible. When I included FLR in my ledger live I didn't have the FLR with the tokens in it like it did in your video. I used the MEW Wallet for my ethereum address. I also checked in my metamask account, added the flare network successfully, but when it came to "select an account" I couldn't find my account anywhere. I clicked "next" several times but still couldn't locate my account... Any input?
Hey Arya - it sounds like you might not be using the correct private keys. Do you by chance have multiple recovery phrases or Ledger devices? If yes you might want to try the same steps with all your different devices Let us know if this helps, if not please open a ticket with your logs via our Help Center: support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/360007174573-Export-logs?support=true support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/categories/4404369571601?support=true Thanks!
I am having the exact same problem. I initially set up my FLARE tokens in an Ethereum address labels Spark Flare Tokens. I used this to address to collect my songbird tokens too. I have checked the address on XRPtool kit and XRP Scan and the Flare Explorer all looks good and FLR shows balance. But when I go to Ledger Live it shows no FLR in the Ethereum Spark wallet ? I then downloaded the FLR on Ledger Live to make an account for it using my Ledger Nano opening my Ethereum app but nothing showed up in FLR. Let me know if you ever got your FLR to show up please. Any help in this would be appreciated?
The Flare tab wasn't showing up for me. I opened Ledger Live and went to Accounts > Add Account > Flare (FLR) then it automatically detected my FLR address with balance.
Hey there - this guide should help, make sure to use the Ethereum (ETH) app on your Ledger device to create your Flare account support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/4402728914577-Flare-FLR-?support=true Thanks!
I had my xrp in Coinbase during the snapshot date but I guess coinbase will not distribute the flare to us ! I had good amount of XrP but sadly coin stole our money/flares
Coinbase is meant to automatically reward you your flare right? I thought for people in the Coinbase situation, if not for the delay, you don't have to do any of this stuff from the video.
I'd already gotten my airdrop of FLR on metamask & deposited it on MEXC to claim from the 2k MX. Now waiting for my share of MX for depositing a potential EVM compatible FLR tokens.
Well done! In case you'd want to stake FLR from your Ledger device later on, here's a guide: support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/8746706534685-How-to-wrap-and-delegate-Flare-FLR-tokens?support=true Thanks!

Hi 👋 if you submitted your MEW ETH address for FLR airdrop then your token will be sent to that account. You'll need to claim your airdrop with your MEW address and then send your tokens to your Ledger FLR account. We hope this clarifies. blog.enkrypt.com/claim-your-flr-airdrop-using-enkrypt/
