I’ve been power washing customers houses/decks for years and narrowed it down to this. 1 gallon liquid chlorine for pools (10% sodium hypochlorite) to 3 gallons water in a Stihl back pack sprayer. Key is to completely saturate all the siding/decking/fencing/gutters/etc. I then come behind with a 2800 pressure washer to basically just rinse the surface of chemical. Works like a charm! 1 gallon at Walmart under $5
Thank you so much for reviewing our product and sharing us with your fans! Our name, 30 SECONDS, comes from seeing the cleaner starting to work in 30 seconds, or instantly on pet urine apparently :)
Sodium hypochlorite appeared to work great the first several times for molds. With routine use, the mold got worse and worse. It began rapidly returning within days or weeks! I guess this is scientifically why EPA & OSHA do not recommend it's use for mold. I eventually found and used a product called Corte Clean and have been for years. It doesn't have all the problems of sodium hypochlorite. In addition to the molds, it cleans the grease/oil under the barbecue and doesn't corroded the structural metal decking hardware. It actually removed the rust stains the sodium hypochlorite caused. It even restored some of the original color the sodium hypochlorite excessively bleached. While it may appear to cost a little more, overall, I have spent less, especially labor, over the years. My extremely expensive Trex deck almost looks like the day it was installed. You should check it.
@@johnwagnon5 I have one that's fire resistant but grease & oil still splatter all over the place & need to be cleaned. Thanks for reminding me to order some more Corte Clean.
I have a job coming up, really nice home, with a Trex deck and steps. I'm going to try and order some of that corte cleaner you've mentioned here. Gonna turn the psi down on my 4gal Simpson pw. Probably use a decent mild scrub brush. Any suggestions?
On their website they state that 30 Second Cleaner "does not contain regular household bleach" but Sodium Hypochlorite is an ingredient in bleach. What's the difference? Regardless, 30 Second Cleaner is great!
Yeah, I watched. And yes I know sh is in 30 sec cleaner. My question to HIM, was can you use diluted sh, just plain bleach (10 or 12.5), and if so I would ask him what strength/percentage he would recommend. @@Turtle-sz7sk
Hey Dr. Decks. Great video. Do you use this product before delivery to a client or do you only use it for a deck that has been in use for several years? We are just finishing up a large project and I’m curious how to remove marks/stains from Azek Timbertech pvc.
Check out the warranty on cleaning trex decking!!! You should not use SH/bleach on trex decking. Only the older thicker trex decking you may use SH on it.
