Just two tips to add to your great vid: 1) Seal the container and put it in the back box of a motorcycle when you ( or your mate!) go for a spin. The vibration will do it! 2) 'Singer' sewing machine oilis the same as 'after run oill', and is easier to source.Cheers, Den, Cymru.
It won't hurt anything really a lot of people seem to think that WD-40 is a Wonder oil for everything and it's just a water dispersant solvent it doesn't really protect your engine if you got water in your engine yeah you can flush it out with that then run the engine afterwards if you plan on letting your engine set run the engine completely dry a fuel Triton started a few times until it will not start and you can leave it like that for a month if you're going to be letting it sit longer than yes use after an oil the correct stuff and you won't have any problems
@@thebug4046 cleaning carb, couldn't blow fuel up to it to prime, have it apart aside from linkage/rubber boots. Can slight buildup cause that kind of blockage? Just see some goo in there along the shaft of the linkage. Just wondering as this is basically where I'm at trying to get fuel to carb as it won't pull on its own. Thing hasn't been run in quite a bit but had someone confirm that compression is good. If carb isn't the reason, would I want to check for air leaks if it won't prime? Thanks understand it's probably hard to diagnose unseen perhaps there's just some common knowledge when troubleshooting that. Cheers
@@svnbit8408 depending on the engine you have sometimes it's cheaper to buy a new carburetor if it's completely destroyed also check for things like fuel or exhaust system leaks which will cause a no Prime no start or running problem check your tank seal fuel lines all exhaust gaskets clean everything thoroughly and see what happens take your high speed needle apart clean everything you don't need to remove your low-speed needle if the boot on your carburetor is all cracked and falling apart that's going to be a major air leak and it's going to run bad no matter what so probably just time to replace the carburetor depending on what it is like I mentioned before good luck
@@thebug4046 thanks. Came with a 18tm motor as well. This carb is chipped a little where air filter sits. Throwing it back together to see what's up after cleaning. Looks like I have a carb rebuild kit too for the 3.3. the 3.3 sits so close to the sour gear, brand new chassis too, smh. Thanks, if it comes down to the carb /motor I might try the OS 1.8 engine. Thanks again for the help!
@@thebug4046 when you don't know the exact state of the motor, is there a better fuel percentage to run? Currently only have 20%. Pretty sure my tank is sealing fine just need to sort the carb/motor.
I would suggest using gloves as methanol is a neurotoxic poison you have to be careful You can use an on all parts of the engine I will suggest to blow dry them afterwards and then Re oil all moving parts of your engine or carburetor I have videos on this as well
