Hi Tino, here is how I clean non-leather athletic shoes. I first spray stain remover like SHOUT all over the shoes and let them soak for a while. Then I take an old pillowcase and place the shoes into it. I tie off the open end of the pillowcase tightly so the shoes don't move inside. I throw the pillowcase with the shoes inside in my washing machine along with my other clothes. The pillowcase catches debris like pebbles, twigs and dirt so it doesn't damage your drain. The spin cycle helps pull out all of the water in the shoes so they air dry much faster. This works for me and uses very little effort.
You’re just awesome... I’m glad you’re back making new videos... thank you so very much for sharing your knowledge ... we’ll keep watching👀Blessings🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I'm so glad you said that you actually don't usually take that long to clean a pair of shoes. I was asking myself was it worth all that time, expense of supplies and especially your water bill! lol..but, that's why you're the successful "shoe whisperer" and I'm not!!! Thanks for sharing...
I'm glad to have come across this. Going back onto selling after a long hiatus, and shoes have always been one of my go to items. seeing that they can be cleaned will open up more possibilities for selling.
Thank you Tino! I restore a lot of things to sell on eBay including cast Iron! I appreciate this video and channel and am looking forward to more great content.😊
Thanks loved your video never knew you could clean speakers like that. Taught me a lot. The only thing is I could not find what kind of brush you used on your brooks sneakers
Love your videos! Glad you have an additional channel geared to restoring and cleaning shoes, always appreciate the information you're sharing with us. Hope your new warehouse is serving you well! My husband swears by Brooks running shoes. I had never heard of them before, but he bought me a pair because even though i'm only 35 I have trouble with my feet all the time being sore and hurting and I LOVE these sneakers!
So glad you're putting out more content! I'm wondering if you've ever used leather paint (Angelus brand) and if you would be willing to do a video on touching up leather shoes with that product. Thanks for all the info!
I find that the Angelus 802 Spot Remover really removes scuffs from the sidewalls and soles of sneakers & rubber soles. It can be caustic on some (Top Siders in particular because they paint the white over a neutral base), but with caution it works like nothing else.
Have you ever noticed that the stain comes back? It will wick to the surface to get to the air and redeposit the soil. So to fix this problem, you need to wrap the shoe 3x’s with a roll of toilet paper. Completely cover all the material. Then take a water sprayer and gently spray the toilet paper so it conforms to the shoe. The idea is for the surface to wick completely out of the shoe to the paper! Try and wait for the shoes to completely dry before removing paper.
( sorry my post was sent before it was done). When you pull the paper off the shoe, the soil will be on the paper and soil should not be on the shoe. If some is there, just re wet the shoe, wrap in paper, spray the paper so it is wet... dry
Yes. If you want to keep your stuff in good condition!!! And smell free. YES. Sneakers are expensive so they shouldn't be looking like rags after a 5 months
