@@Shon9tilR I like it ok, it is fast paced, they don’t expect you to be in the rooms no more than 30 minutes. We have to clean everything I’m ok with doing discharges but they put me in same day and it’s sooo many rooms over there and they expect all the rooms to be made before my shift ends.
Depends on what is in the room. We allow a 1.5 hr window of completion from moment of discharge. the cleaning itself is expected to happen under an hour. I think good housekeepers take care of it in 45 minutes or less.
This is real different from my hospital procedures. A reg discharge for us we wipe the mattress first then rails an work your way down. Mostly because dead skin will fall below. So it does not make sense to wipe under bed before the mattress. Also thanks for not wiping the tv or windows or any paintings in room. I hate it so much when housekeepers do that leaving all of it full of residue. Also linen does not come into room into whole room is disinfected , then we make bed then mop last. For a c diff my hospital uses bleach wipes for a c diff not hp wipes. We use 40 chemical (disinfectant) for the walls and for floor (or we use bleach wipes) to mop. The curtain we spray with fusion if no curtain is available.
Why do these ladies sound threatening? “You can’t leave the room “😳😳 If I feel sick or a fire breaks out I’m leaving. Doctors and nurses walk in and out many times without gowning up every time. The customer leaves the room when they go home unsanitized.
PPE such as mask and gown are worn in certain containment rooms, surgery etc.. for a basic room clean, you wear gloves and change them out .. that's your PPE.. gloves
