I've cooked and eaten just about every critter from the woods, lakes and rivers but I have to draw the line at roadkill rattler unless I killed it myself on the road. That did look good but we usually have crappy and catfish with red beans and taters to go with it. Love your channel
Dude.... I'm loving your channel. I think we might actually be kinda like neighbors. When I was younger, I played in a country/rock band... we used to play at the "rattlesnake rodeo" (here in our little corner of south Alabama) every year. I'm kinda like Grandpa though... I ain't eating no frikkin snake.
Looks tasty. We've had rattlesnake jerky in New Mexico. It was good. I understand they now have recipes for python meat in Florida including python jerky.🎉
Climatized LOL. If your from Canada you probably never will get to climatized. I've lived in North Carolina all my life am I halfway hibernate in July and August. If I'm going out it's going to be on my bike. I've never been to Alabama but I imagine it gets pretty smoldering hot. It's a lot hotter at the beach then where I live. The only place that's cool in the summer is the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Last I ate rattler, it was indirect heat on Hickory and mesquite. IF YOU EVER HAD SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, TX REDFISH BLACKED… your mighty close to smoked rattle snake
Yea she looked Real Thrilled about eating that snake .. She nibbled on the crust .. I got some Tube snake she'd Like .. Try cooking up some Wolf Rat , since U guyZ will eat about Anything ..
I like Atlantic eel just fry in butter and dip in white flour. Rattle snake 🐍 probably taste like 👍 MARY BROWN chicken 🐓 good looking legs but a grease box Jeff . I’m had poor man supper boil cold 🥶 Atlantic hard shell lobster 🦞 dip in butter 🧈 and potatoes salad . With a rooster 🐔 foot 🦶 on iceberg ice 🧊 to wash the butter 🧈 down lol 😊.
How to cook and clean a steak from Costco ! Shop at Costco , bring home steak , throw on grill , season , Wolf down , put dishes in sink let someone else wash them ! Pop a cold beer ! 😊
we have a couple mountains here in the Adirondack Mts of NYS with rattle snakes, Tongue Mt is one of them, but they are protected, roadkill snake, I'll pass
Well I'll show my age here. Jerry Clower had a routine about a rattlesnake festival in Texas he was at. Another man there said he was with the federal government there to make sure they killed the rattlesnakes right. Jerry asked, Man how do you kill a rattlesnake wrong?
When I was younger growing up in Florida we went rattlesnake hunting every summer . Fried , smoked and barbecued it was delicious . Taste like chicken 🤤 .
When I was younger I spent a lot of time in the mountains of central Idaho. I ate a few rattlesnakes. And I must say it never did much for me. It just tastes like what ever you coated it in.
I've got timber rattlers (cane break rattlers other places I hear) on my place in northeast Texas. They come in and out of being a protected species here 'cause it's close to the edge of their range. I have one on my place named "Sergeant Major" because I'd never seen so many chevrons.🤠
Oh this is stinkin cute. She is one of the best things to happen to you in a long time and I hope she is here for the long haul. Its a whole different video everytime shes with you. You are way more relaxed. I may have to make and try out that dip she made though.
Jeff, you will be disgusted with my first and only try at cooking rattle snake. I won’t relate the whole story but it included the most dismal shooting with a 357 mag Ruger single action revolver I have the displeasure to relate. In my younger days I was a fair hand with both pistol and rifle, this wasn’t one of those days. My friend and I took a trail ride on a chilly morning. We ran across a nice sized Rattler it was in the middle of the trail and moving almost at a standstill. We discussed the situation and decided, since neither of us had ever eaten snake, to dispose of this poor creature and cook it at the next campground. Now since I had the firepower i dismounted from my trusty steed, actually I hung my foot on the stuff I had tied on behind the saddle and fell flat on my behind. Now with this auspicious start pulled my hog leg with the speed of Roy Rogers and shot him between the eyes, actually what happened I carefully aimed from about 3 feet and missed the whole snake. Anyway by the 6 shot i was a straddle of the snake with the muzzle about 3 inches from its head, good thing it was a cold day, and with the last shot I executed the poor snake, it was about to die of boredom. At the camp ground we prepared the critter and heated the pan when we discovered we only had imitation plastic stuff in a tube they had the temerity to call butter. Smearing this stuff on the poor snake we proceeded to overcook the critter, finally we got up the nerve to actually eat this disgusting meal. I haven’t a clue how a properly cooked snake tastes, this one Sure as heck didn’t taste like chicken. I have kept this a secret for over 50 years I’m 87 .
Not a lot of people will not even try snake if you tell them first (she seemed a little shy about it). After watching yours and Hannah's channel, I know why you cut your own lumber and hunt and fish so much. Your daughter at 5 foot (never discuss a women's weight) can eat more than a pro lineman, you would go broke feeding her. Have a wonderful day.👾
