If you've ever had the bottom section off you'll find that's where the majority of the dust gets trapped so when your saying it's all clean your not even close
100% it's filthy when you pull out the motor, which no manual tells you how to remove it from the casing. I figured it out, but now I can't get it back together. Still... I now know what filth is hiding beneath what you can visibly see. I ran hot water through the top part where no feather duster could possibly reach...and the water running out was brown and had cat fur gunk too. So, in my opinion, you're receiving a fan that's a pain in the arse, if you really want it clean. Just saying, my $20 box fan is a breeze to pull apart and clean! And the Dyson is too expensive for not giving people a heads up to the truth! It gets disgusting inside, especially if you have animals, or smoke legally or otherwise. No instructions how to pull it apart, or like me figured it out, I'm still trying to reassemble. Should of photographed the disassembly. Ugh!
Also tilt the base forward an back there’s 4 screws take the base of an wipe out the rear fan will also allow access to the vent holes you only vacuumed as dust settles on the base of fan blades I took the top and base off and used canned air and blew it the dust out
