So I applied Jet Seal on my front window after following your cleaning steps. At the first rain, I thought “yea it’s ok” not being overly impressed. Then I was driving on the highway and got hit with a wall of water from a truck going past me, before the wiper sensors could react the water had already beaded. Wow! I’m impressed
Just used jet seal for the first time on a white focus ST we did a video on. Pennsylvania winters can be extremely tough on a vehicles paint, however after a layer of EZ creme and a coat of jet seal, you can immediately tell the difference. Water and dirt basically bead off the paint now. Amazing stuff guys!
I learned a lot from this guy really had a learning experience with every video. I bought this jet seal at the time it was $10 now if you can find it in stock pretty much $40!!! But really hope that he makes an appearance on today's videos.
I had been watching a few of Chemical Guys videos, then went to the site and thought some of the products were a little overpriced..Went to Walmart to get some cleaners for the car and saw that Wally World carried some of Chemical Guys products..One of my favorite cleaners is Turtle Wax Dash and Glass...I saw Chemical Guy’s Total Interior, which does the same but was $5.00 more than the Dash and Glass...I must say that the Total Interior was well worth the cost and performs a helluva lot better than the dash and Glass which can get fussy to work with at times....I’m a believer now.. GREAT product!
Awesome! Thanks for the amazing feedback and welcome to the Chemical Guys family! We are really glad you're here and look forward to helping you get your car looking its best! If you ever have any questions about which products to use or how to use them, feel free to call us, email us, or even reach out to us over facebook messenger. Thanks for watching and make sure to check back later today for a new video upload!
Good info. My only issue is the water pouring at the end: on the unpolished side you poured from about 6-8 inches high, creating much more splashing and finer drops; on the polished side you poured from about 2 inches, creating lower splashing. I'll still probably clean my windows this way.
I have terrible water spots on a brand new vehicle’s windshield and door glass. I just ordered everything you just used to hopefully clean mine up. Thanks for the video.
Hey Guys ..... good video and products. I can see why you prepare the glass the way you do prior to applying the Jett Seal. I’m going to try it today. Thanks!
Hey, next time you're performing a full detail on your, just clay and seal right over your windows too! If you're already doing a full detail, it takes only a little bit more time and you will really enjoy the benefits. Thanks for watching and stay tuned for a new video dropping later today!
the question raised to me is how long can those Jet Seal last? What will happen if I use wiper during a raining day? In that circumstance, which one performs better, Jet Seal or Rain-x?
Hey guys, love your videos and all your products!! Was wondering how you wash all your micro fibre towels after use? Is there a laundry detergent you prefer? Thanks
Hey Jeff! Thanks so much for the awesome feedback. Check out Microfiber Wash to maintain all of your microfiber goods. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jFVDI3VwMy4.html
Awesome video. Awesome background music. Nick is a salesman. Jet Seal is like armor for your cars paint and glass. It's one of my favorite car products!
I put a sealant on my windshield and next time it rained at night I could hardly see out my windshield with the wipers on and the oncoming lights. Looked like there was a haze that only showed up after the wipers would make a pass for a few seconds. How do I avoid this? Thanks in advance.
i love using this when i go on road trips; i usually prefer a clean windshield when i travel for some reason, just using wiper fluid and my wipers isn't enough since bugs pop on the windshield lol
I'm sold. Doing this as soon as my order arrives!! I thought the 0000 steal wool and rainx was good. This is amazing. I do encounter a lot of bugs on my way home every day. Will daily cleaning cause this to shorten the time between applications?
Hi Olivia! Yes, these products and process can be used for all exterior windows. You can also add JetSeal to any surfaces that are gloss painted, shiny or clear. - CG Nick
I like your Products i use the OG Clay bar Jet sale and then went over the paint with the butter wax paint is so smooth and shiny look beautiful thank you chemical guys for great products 👍👍
Hi Alex! Before any polishing or sealing, we recommend clay baring the surface of the vehicle. Clay baring the vehicle will remove all the contamination and deliver a smooth surface. After the vehicle is contamination free, you may polish or seal your vehicle. When the surface of the vehicle is contamination free glazes, sealants, and waxes bond better to the paint and last longer. If the vehicles paint is oxidized, we recommend polishing to enhance the shine of the paint and then seal. If the vehicle's paint is still in good condition, proceed with Jet Seal. Thanks for watching and thanks for being part of the Chemical Guys family!
They product is actually worth the price. I bought the metal polish for my motorcycle. I polish all my chrome. My friends thought i bought new chrome parts. Believe me i have bought all type of chrome polish but the one these guys make is the best by far.
99% of the time; only use fresh, not recycled air. Recycled cabin air will trap moisture inside. Either from dew point or brought in as wet shoes, wet hair or even when you exhale, the humidity will increase thus attaching as fog to a cool surface like a windshield. Tip: When either defrost or defrost/floor is selected, the AC pump will run, which in turn dehumidifies regardless of temperature settings. AC is can be used as dry heat too, not just cold. The other 1%, when someone farts.
I'm sure there is some truth to all of this BUT .... CHECK THE POURING DISTANCE ... passenger side is higher and CAUSING more splash ... and the driver's side is poured right against the glass . . . . . . all in all STILL A GOOD PRODUCT
As I person with ocd and like my cars clean, it’s maddening to clean the inside of with windshield and rear view window lol, always a streak that shows up later or detailer transferred to glass
Hey guys, if using jetseal on glass would you also recommend also using hydroslick or would that be overkill? If using both, what order would you apply them? Thanks!
Got a replacement windshield, was asked for no car wash for two days (glue drying), np. It rained I will clean regular, should I clay bar same steps. After jet seal with new wipers will I have streaks? Does wash and wax cause that or silicates scratching my wiper and windshield? Do I need to wax it I have butter wet wax? Right now it doesn't repell water. New video maybe showing a glass repair short then what to do or new car.
Dear , I am trying to remove hard water spots on my truck windshield. I watched the video above and I have some questions. I called you guys up and spoke to a lady. she was very helpful to find the products that you mentioned on your video on your product page. I noticed on your page many clay bar kits, you used a dark bar and she recommended me a yellow one. what is the difference ? thanks for your time and info/help.
Hi Adolfo, good question. In this video, Nick uses a Clay Block rather than a Clay Bar. A Clay Block is essentially a synthetic clay bar. It has some unique benefits to it over a clay bar. For example, you don't have to throw it away when dropped on the ground and also, it will last much longer than a traditional clay bar. Which one you choose is personal preference. About your water spots- have you tried Water Spot Remover yet? That would be the first step in your water spot removal process. Thanks for watching, Adolfo, and thanks for being a part of the Chemical Guys family! www.chemicalguys.com/Clay_Block_V2_p/clay_block.htm www.chemicalguys.com/Water_Spot_Rx_Hard_Water_Spot_Remover_16_oz_p/spi_886_16.htm
Good day. I have applied JetSeal to my model3 Should I worry about Window cleaner stripping it off my windows? Is their such a thing as PH balanced window cleaner like there is for your foam soap? Thanks.
Hey Thomas! Thanks for tuning in. JetSeal will stand up to glass cleaners and the elements for up to 12 months. Add multiple coats for a more resilient barrier of protection. - Happy detailing!
Damn looks bad ass your a hell of a detailer but really the only reason I liked this video is Paul walkers eclipse in the background and night rider lol 😂 great video tho 👍👍
What do you use for towels for this? I use Invisible Glass aerosol spray cleaner, but may give your product a try since I've been pleased so far with the carpet and upholstery cleaner (20-1 concentration).
How often wld this have to be done? For those of us that don't have a nice garage, can this be done on cool mornings or evenings.. Very interested in this...
Hi Katrina, those are all good questions. Claying and sealing your car is something that does't need to be done all the time. The ideal conditions to apply Jet Seal is when the paint is cool to the touch, and no moisture or condensation can prevent the product from bonding to the paint. Freezing and scorching temperatures will have adverse effects on Jet Seal's ability to cure on the paint. Just one application of JetSeal can last months. Exactly how long it will last on our particular car will depend on a variety of factors including the climate where you live, where you store your car, how much you drive, etc. It's easy to tell when you will need a fresh application: the water won't bead as well! Thanks for watching, Katrina, and stay tuned for new videos each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday!
Chemical Guys: Made my first order today! Black Friday in April was a great treat.. Love that ya'll offer sample sizes to purchase & shipping price was awesome.. Shipping is usually what turns me away right before check out.. Hopefully I will be making a larger order soon!
Why do people not go into a deeper clean on the inside ....especially from a smoker. Id think it could benefit from a good deep clean ? Would you be able to tint a window with that sealant.. ???
@@Hardcoreweather1 uhm....why would you say that....Ive always tinted all my windows on the outside.....your saying ? Put the tint on the INSIDE ??? Now I feel like a big DUMB _ss ! Reminds me of the time I mixed the whole tube of hardner in the whole gallon can of BONDO ! Man that can got so hot I had to drop it to the ground " it was SMOKING ! Thank you for the tip...I just wrote that down..." Tint goes on THE. Inside !!! Dang...
Hi John! When you are ready to re-apply a fresh coat after the 12 months of protection, it is best to remove the previous layer for a better bond. - CG Nick
It's basically on strip of rubber that only has one pressure point as opposed to traditional style blades that have a few pressure points. Beam blades will wick water away without leaving streaks. - CG Nick
Hi Geoff! JetSeal can last up to 12 months and withstand washes, I recommend reapplying at least every 6 months for proper protection. - Happy detailing!!
I have a question. Do I do this process before.or after i clean the car.lets say. I use the glass only stuff first, then proceed to clean the car throughly and clay it. Then use the jet seal. Is that the correct process? Or did.I say something wrong?
Hi! Good question. Yes, you can do it the way you described, or you can clean the the whole car first, then use the glass cleaner, then the clay. The important thing is just to get the windshield clean before you clay! Thanks for watching and make sure to check back tomorrow for a new video upload!
I still can't get over the BGM......how about trying jazz? I usually wash my ride once/week or every other week depending on whether it rains, so the outside of the windshield stays clean. I tried Rain-X's washer fluid additive only to find it little effective. The problem is INSIDE the windshield. I followed ChrisFix's instructions, but I still get traces when it gets humid. I've also tried "Streak free" products, only to get disappointed. Microfiber towels didn't help, either. Is a flame thrower the only alternative left for me...?
ChrisFix does have an incredibly thorough window detailing video. If I recall correctly he mentions the interior side of the windshield gets cloudy from the out gassing of the plastic dash. Perhaps more prominent in your vehicle or maybe try switching up the type of dash cleaner you use?
Its the plasasides, if the car us new, or the dash was treated with somthing crappy like armorall, you need to clean it often, untill the plasic fumes have evacuated themselves.
you just watched a video that tells you how, instead you choose to do the same as the trolls and tell how you did it another way. by the way, most found out years ago that rain x is not user friendly, its a good product if you use it right, but it is not a wipe on and wipe off and for sure i would never use it in my washer fluid.
Awesome video guys! But the price on GlassOnly?! $22 for a bottle? Ill use jet seal, and my clay block, but i have to stick to Invisible Glass at that cost...
Hey Sean, here at chemicalguys.com, we sell GlassOnly for only $8.99! We are also currently running a 25% off sale that ends tonight, so the real cost would be even cheaper! Thanks for watching and stay tuned for a new video dropping later today! www.chemicalguys.com/Glass_Only_Foaming_Glass_Cleaner_16_oz_p/cldspray100.htm
Hi Chris! Glass Only works great on mirrors as well. Chemical Guys does not offer any glass kits yet. Nick was using the Workhorse Blue Professional Grade Microfiber towel. Thanks for watching and thanks for being part of the Chemical Guys family! Check link below. -CG Henry🤙 www.chemicalguys.com/Workhorse_Microfiber_Towel_Blue_3_Pack_p/micmblue03.htm www.chemicalguys.com/Glass_Only_Foaming_Glass_Cleaner_16_oz_p/cldspray100.htm
Hey Jake, yes, that is correct. Hot glass will cause the glass cleaner to evaporate, which would make streaking more likely. Detailing rule of thumb: if it's hot, don't touch it. Thanks so much for watching, Jake, really glad to have you part of the CG family!
@@francisgarcia5828 use a car soap, with non stripping propertys, i use honeydew snow foam, and apply jet seal every month, but thats just me being crazy.
Wish I had watched this when the special discount was active this past weekend. Need to try out the Jet Seal product. Next time for the water test try a fine water misting to imitate a foggy condition or light misting rain. It normally does not rain from cups. ;-)
Can u use the clay bar and luber as well as the jet seal on a matte finish car? I might be getting a matte finish car so just wanted to kno what I can use for it. I hear u can't use certain soaps waxes etc
You should do a water beading test in your videos after applying wax/sealant/coating. JetSeal does get an great job at protecting the paint and repelling water.
Hi Mo, make sure to watch to the end of the video to see the big difference in water repelling on the sealed vs unsealed side. Thanks for watching and stay tuned for a new video dropping soon!
Mo Carey , dude, wtf do you think he did at the end of the video ??? or did you even watch the video ? dummy, he poured a cup of water over both sides, the clean side didn't even bead, it just washed right off, the non cleaned side beaded up, big difference

Does Jetseal cause the windshield to fog up easily like a window that has Rain-X applied to it? If it does, what is recommended to prevent the condensation on the inside of the window.
Hey Justin, good question. Glass Only is safe for OEM tinted windows (Not recommended for aftermarket tint, always test in an inconspicuous spot first). If you are looking for a super safe window cleaner, you can use Signature Series Glass Cleaner which is safe for aftermarket window tint. Tint is typically applied on the inside of the window and not the outside, so it is safe to apply JetSeal to the exterior of the window! Thanks for watching Justin and stay tuned for a new video dropping later today! www.chemicalguys.com/Signature_Series_Glass_Cleaner_16_oz_p/cld_202_16.htm
Sorry CG, you are not getting me change from Invisible Glass. However, to your credit putting Jetseal on my windows is the most wonderful thing I could have ever done.
Hugo Hell Need to use some type of wax remover before you apply more JetSeal. Only apply one coat of JetSeal but you can layer with wax on top of it once JetSeal is the base layer.
Hi Hugo, how's it going? Did you make sure to prepare your windows before by washing and claying? Making sure the surface is completely decontaminated is an important step so the sealant has something to bond to. You sure can apply another layer after the first layer. You're going to want to wait 15 minutes before buffing off, then wait another 20 minutes after that to cure to the paint before adding your second layer. Thanks for watching, Hugo, and stay tuned for another video dropping later today!
yep, did all as per say in the video, for the second coat of jetseal I waited the next day over restarted from the beginning I got the jetseal to cure atleast 20 minutes +. I have sort of ultra water repealing action like rain X would do, and maybe the product isn't just designed that way. just let me know what I should be expecting. thanks.
The film is on the inside. Factory tints is the whole glass. I just started using there products and its great. I bought from them and some auto part stores and Amazon your better off buying it from chemical guys. Amazon losers some of my orders.
