Balloons are handy...and just put the hat in the washing machine, simple short wash 20/30 degrees or cold wash in a pillow case

@@DukeCityKicks if you actually ball up a small towel it absorbs the excess moisture as well as help it retain its form. This video was very helpful when combining your method and my extra tip.

Hair dryers work really good too. I use a dishwasher basket on trucker style hats. I’ve never tried fitted.

They do have a spray that acts as a water, dirt, and stain repellent. I'm not sure how effective it is but I believe that it is one of the best ways to preserve your hat!

This is a terrible idea. Most caps should have this Dry cleaning symbol. Cleaning it with water will ruin its form and make it clumsy.

@@Bouletts69 yes that is true that most hats do come with a dry cleaning symbol (100% Wool, 100% Cotton, Do Not Wash, Do Not Bleach, Do Not Iron, Do Not Machine Dry & Do Not Dry Clean) It has a lot of #Don'ts but no list of #Do's and the Sad reality most shops you buy your hat's from would not have the equipment pack to clean the hats in store (they would say it's on our website thou)lolz... but with the tricks-&-tips shown in the video plus the comments, it did help Me clean up 8-of My Branded hats, save Me $$$$... But I didn't run the water on My hat's, I dip them in a warm bowl of water just to rinse them after I used a little shampoo on a toothbrush and spray it with a cotton odorless fabric spray...My drying Method, I use face towels placing it on My gym M/S-Size-ball and pots lolz that is a perfect fit for My Hat's( To keep there shapes) and leaving them outside on a nice sunny day but under a shade☔🌳 (if you have time to sit around & sipping on your tea😊) ...but all an all this video plus the comments helped Me clean up My hat's and save Me $$$$$$...

@@elizacharlie2586 use a cloth sticky roller instead. Its alot better. Use a brush before that (dont add anything to it). Just brush ur cap so you can loosen the dirt and dust and then use the roller to pick it up.

@@Bouletts69 Thanks for the tips 👍 I will try that next time I need to clean My Hat's... but in all honesty, My Hat's are still in excellent conditions after washing them, and umm I am uncomfortable with the thought of knowing I wear My Hat through out the day and sweat and not really washing that sweat off Not a Nice feeling for Me...

Ana Ayon you’re welcome! You can put your hats in the washer to clean but you need a hat cage in order to make sure the hat maintains its shape.

sweat is biggest problem for me... my hats are super clean but they start to smell inside because i have sweatty head :(

eXampL I'm starting to notice that smell is a big issue with hats. With the use of laundry detergent I have been fairly successful at removing the smell from my hats with this method. I would try it out and see if it works and let me know how it goes!

The baby powder is to show the dirtiness of the hats. I should have just went outside and rubbed the hat in the dirt or something to make the cleaning more realistic.

What will hanging the cap from the strap do?

No. When cleaning fabric its best to not press hard when brushing. If you press with enough pressure this will allow the brush to do all of the work.

Try peeling the paint off when the hat is dry and wash it one or two times and see how that works.

Flames Highlights oof. I’m not sure how you can remove that. Probably looking it up on the internet regarding the rust paint on clothes and how to remove it.

So white clothe material can be quite tricky to clean and remove any form of yellowing. I usually use bleach and soak the material with aa blue laundry detergent and let it sit in the sun. It takes a while to remove the yellowing but it has worked for me in the past.

Honestly cleaning suede can be quite a task because of how delicate the material is. I'd recommend sticking to a shoe cleaner and soft bristle brush. Although. laundry detergent is good on any cloth material, I have never cleaned suede with it.

It can. Lightly cleaning brims can avoid ruining them.

That is probably a better solution than in direct sunlight as the heat from the sun can shrink the material.
