I chose not to remove the idle air adjustment screw and clean the port or the idle air screw because I have been cleaning small engine carburetors since I was 13 years old. Now at 50, I have never found that to be the problem. Messing with that adjustment can sometimes be very difficult to get right again, especially for someone who needs to watch a video to get it to work. That's why I didn't go through that whole process. To those who keep commenting about it, if you've ever made a successful RU-vid video, you know that talking about all this reduces the retention rate, and everyone clicks out of the video. So please, do your thing. If you find my video unsatisfactory, then please make your own. It's that simple.

Any suggestions on how to get the air jet out? Mine is stuck and won't budge.

Yes!! Let it soak in carb cleaner, and make sure you get the fattest screwdriver you can in there to get a better grip. Good luck!

My Honda style carburetor's main jet does not have a screwdriver slot. Any suggestions on how to remove it? Thank you.

No, curious if that is an aftermarket China carburetor. Sometimes there might be room to put a socket on the outside of the jet, some jets have hex head on the top but there also may not be room for that socket to slide in there you may end up getting online and just getting another aftermarket carburetor if you can't get it apart you can't clean it. Really wish I could be of more help. Cool last name my landladies last name is Fletcher

Are you positive it's not gunked up and you just don't see the slot? I've actually done that in the past.

@@KirkTheHow-ToGuy Thanks for the quick reply. The engine is a Champion 80cc and both the original carb and a new replacement do not have a slot or a hex head. Both are China clones. Perhaps designed to fail?

Follow-up from Champion: on smaller engines the jet is not removable. Clean the best you can and hope it works...
