Hi! I had silver that was not cleaned in over 8 years and it took me about 20 minutes of soaking in the water/salt and baking soda to really get cleaned up. So the effects kind of depend on the overall quality of your silver from what I can tell. Thank you for the good recipe!
@@williamkamroon7169 depending on how many silver pieces you have get a bowl, not too large, put the silver pieces in there and spread them out well then sprinkle a couple of pinches of baking soda on top of all the silver pieces. Once you have done that get a 1/2 lemon and squeeze it right over all the jewelry where the baking soda is on. Swirl it with your finger as it will start to sizzle. This sizzling will clean the silver. Once the sizzling stops rinse it out in lukewarm water. Just be careful if you’re doing it over the sink so the pieces don’t fall into the drain. prior to rinsing them out, have a dry cloth or towel spread it on a table or flat surface so you can put the pieces on top for them to dry. with another towel you can start drying your silver pieces just leave them on top for them to finish airing out. this will not hurt your jewelry and you can also clean your gold pieces the same way.
