In the comments, people are roasting this dude who just wanted to make a video to help out the guy who maybe doesn't have a few hundred bucks for a steamer and fancy brushes. He scrubbed the seats and it works... the hard brush is bad for that kind of upholstery though but it WILL clean the seats. Great job
It worked for but I bought a different brush to scrub it in and used a micro fiber towel after. You did good by the way everyone can’t afford a detail or have time for one
Fits perfectly rear-facing in our truck, which has a slightly smaller back seats. ru-vid.comUgkx6_FKRYB2ClSPRyjcd8HptiCS3EiQoNX4 Feels as comfy and plush as our Graco Contender carseat
Thank you for the video. I like that you include the "mistakes", so to speak, so we learn what parts to do and what to do differently. I imagine it's better to work on a smaller area and repeat instead of coating the entire seat at once. I probably would have done the same thing, not realizing that it dries so fast.
Thank you for this tip. HUGE help. I went to store and bought the Oxi-Clean. It did a nice job on less tougher stains. However, we had stains from a choc smoothie that wasn't sealed properly from a fast-food shop. It had exploded yesterday on our front seat. Despite barely anytime to set, the chocolate would not come off. I used the cleaner six times, including letting it set for longer. It didn't budge. So MY recommendation is it's great for easier stains, but not chocolate. I should bill the fast food company.
In my experience in food service my company always comped seat cleaning bills. You should call the district manager or corporate and tell them how you didn’t pay money to have your car seats permanently stained. Because you didn’t.
Try using a steamer. The small hand held portable ones. While it projects hot steam to the stain carefully without burning yourself Agitate the stain with a soft brush. Keep doing it until the sticky residue is gone.
The hard brush shouldn't be used on the upholstery. That is usually only recommended for the carpets or you'll ruin the fabric. A soft cloth or very very soft brush.
Thanks for this video! I was too afraid to spray it on my seats, afraid to make the few stains even worse. I have those notorious Hyundai cloth seats (beige/tan) They stain from a drop of water/rain!! To all the ppl commenting to him on this video NOT to use a regular vacuum on wet surfaces!! He clearly states "Vacuum when DRY" and "This product DRIES fast" he even says "Spray product and start the scrubbing within 10-30 seconds bc product already starts to completely DRY and HARDEN."
I didn’t know the Hyundai cloth seats were notorious for the staining 😩 I bought an Elantra earlier this year with the beige/tan seats and they really do stain from everything I aBsolutely HATE it !!
@@sadetckr i found the simplest solution, wipes! Interior car wipes, the trick is to damp entire section while scrubbing lightly, i used a baby hair brush, came out looking brand new when dried! good luck
Oxyclean and TuffStuff are the two best stain fighters for car seats that your average joe can get. With TuffStuff, spray it on thick, wait for about a minute, and use a strong brush (like one for cleaning a tub) to scrub in several directions. Suck up the liquid with paper towels or a dry cloth, and it's gone. As far as Oxyclean, I just buy the powder and dissolve it in a 5 gallon bucket. I soak my floor mats in the bucket. Source: Boyfriend was a detailer.
I was going to comment 'why not just buy a carpet cleaning machine' but I realized this is the economy way to do it if you don't have one of those to rinse and pull out the dirt better. Much love to you, bro.
Ok. No. As a master detailer with 15 years of experience you really haven’t a clue how to clean seats. First off, you need to pre vac; 95% of soil is dry, and can be vacuumed out. Then in small sections spray your product, agitate, wipe the area with a damp microfibre to absorb loosened soil, then vac again to remove remaining slurry.
Well thank god ha I used this product and didn’t watch this video first , but yea I did exactly what you said !! just hope it drys evenly and you can’t see the oxy clean after :$))) I have black cloth
I have less than 50 bucks and I needed this cause I can't afford a car cleaning upholstery service. Thank you. Fyi, I don't have a vacuum, does a high powered vacuum at the car wash work?
And yet bro you can use this product only for light seats, i’ve been using this, the out come looks good but the negative is, after 3 days you feel the sticky feeling, start to mold inside the seat if not properly extract im not the a hater just sharing my experience, but this is definitely a good product
About to buy a mustang off my uncle and i won’t have money to professional detail so imma do it at home until i save up enough. Thanks man appreciate it
Thank you for the very helpful tip. Don't mind the few haters comments. Those people just because can't offer or do anything to help the Society, all they do is just sit and criticize people.
My car smells bad because of some pinol spilled all over the floor carpet, will this help to clean up the carpets and remove this toxic odor from pinol?
Try the product " shout, stain remover" my detailer friend swears by it. Says let it sit then scrub, vacuum then hot water and soft cloth, just an idea. For when your seats are gross again lol
i’m so damn tired from jus washing my car inside and out lawd. i have my car 4.5 years now let me go buy this for my seats ! nice demonstration video bro
Do not use brushes meant for shower tile on your car upholstery unless you want to destroy your seats. Other commenters are correct about this. But I think it was nice for Boo Boo to make us a video ❤❤.
Thank you so much I will definitely use this product. Your seat looks exactly like mine. Same color material and shape of seat. Also I have the same stain marks. Lol
This takes away odor but does do much else for the interior of your car. Now, I just spray this stuff on my sport bras before washing them and they come out WAY cleaner. It penetrates the thick fabric of my VXS wore sport bras 👍🏼
The first attempt to scrub took me right out 😭 I'm trying to clean our company van seats, and the side windows don't open. Was there any lingering smell or fumes left over? We typically don't use it on the weekends, so I can probably do it then.
It does leave a scent but it is a very good smell, like a new car smell mixed with a good air freshener lol. I used it on a stinky car I purchased and took the entire smell out
Hey, ima use that oxyclean but I couldn't find the one you have in the video so bought the oxyclean maxforce foam. Is still oxyclean so ima give ir a try and let you know
