Hey guys,
I purchased this 4moms swing for TEN DOLLARS, I searched endlessly for ways to clean the straps since I could not figure out how to remove them. I found a combination of common household products that did the trick and had to share!! ENJOY!

I’m gonna try this! I have the mama Roo, and let me just say, for almost $300, you would think the straps would manually come off so you can wash them. It is such a pain in the butt to have to do it like this. My daughter had a blowout, and I couldn’t get it out of the straps. So I’m definitely going to try this to see if it helps!! Thanks! 🖤

Yes I'm completely agree, even doing it this way is time consuming but it got the job done for me. Good luck! Maybe we should all leave feedback on their site for straps that can detach!

@@sunshineceleste5680 I JUST got a notification that you responded to my comment- so sorry for the late response, but yes, I completely agree! This is far too expensive to not be able to detach and wash properly! You would think that would be something they would’ve thought about and possibly even made upgrades to their existing products for future customers! But I definitely think we should all write a review about it. We are moms, so we need convenient, not complicated!!

You can take off the white piece that the straps are attached to, there are 2 screws underneath the strap, just unscrew those and pull the 2 white pieces apart.

Mine wasn’t as dirty so I was able to use a disinfectant spray! I soaked it in the spray and scrubbed it with some paper towels and after a few rounds it worked. This technique will be great if the stains get even worse!

Did you also throw it in the dryer or opt to air dry?

I put the seat cover in the dryer multiple times with no issues. I did have an older swing so idk if the fabric material is different on the newer swings but you should be fine!

How did you get the straps actually off?

I think the straps came off with the seat. Then, as you can see, I had to soak the other set of straps because I could not get them off. I just soaked and scrubbed and repeated that process until they were clean.

Can I wash the seat in washing machine with bleach??

I washed mine in dreft laundry detergent since that's what I'm washing all of babies clothes in. For the major stains on the seat I used a stain remover. I didn't use bleach on the straps or the seats because I wanted a more natural and less harsh option.
