11:01 "things are for wearing and enjoying; we should wear the clothes, they shouldn't wear us" that philosophy earned a subscribe, my friend! As someone who loves quality footwear, watches and other clothing, the wear is something you have to roll with.
Thank you Sir for showing me how to care for my suede footwear. Might I add an important point? Wait till the wife is out of the house before doing that in the kitchen. lol
Fantastic, thanks for sharing this. I've got a very similar pair from Church's, and wear them, not just admire them in my wardrobe. This guide will help me to spruce them up and keep them looking great.
Excellent video. You’re right about spraying in a well ventilated area, preferably outside. I knew a woman who died from shoe protecter spraying too much indoors.
Excellent and yes, very helpful. I already used the suede brush after each wearing and don’t wear anything suede in the rain. However, the stemming and conditioning underneath the shoes on the sole was a new twist (and dressing on the heels…normally just wiped them with a cloth). Thanks!! Would love to have one of those Church’s aprons if you have time to tell me where I can get one!!
Thank you very much. The aprons came with a special range of shoes we did years ago along with a polish kit. Sadly Church ( owned by Prada ) doubled their prices two years ago and are now only available in their own shops. They may still do an apron🤝🥂
I am seriously considering buying a pair of not inexpensive Crockett & Jones Chukka boots, because unfortunately for me they are (to my knowledge) the only UK manufacturer currently producing narrow fitting footwear. Your cared for boots look fantastic, although like many people I am a bit nervous about wearing suede in the rain. My understanding is that it's basically OK unless they get absolutely drenched. But anyway, thanks again for your helpful video.
Do you agree that a suede chukka boot is interchangeable with a suede chelsea boot or do I need to by myself a pair of chukka boots aswell? In my opinion they share the same silhuette.
I have two pairs of light suede Chelsea boots from Crockett&Jones, while driving the car I was "scrubbing" the heel part on the rubber mats, but I couldn't (and still can't) remove the stains. Thank you for your program, it taught me a lot.
