Hello everyone! It's been over 15 years since Android launched, and figuring out how to clean Android storage is still a hot topic for many users. I'm Myky from the Electronic Team channel, and in today’s video, I'll guide you through cleaning up your Android phone. Stay tuned till the end for a special gift!
I use my Google Pixel primarily for photography and videos because it excels in these areas. It also has a larger screen than my iPhone, making it better for media consumption. However, full memory can sometimes cause glitches. Let's dive into solving that.
Starting with the basics of phone storage, the main culprits are usually Photos, Videos, and Apps. For apps like RU-vid, you might find a lot of cached videos if offline downloads are enabled. To clean this, go to Apps, select RU-vid, and simply clear the cache - don’t clear data unless you want to log out and erase your history.
Consider deleting seldom-used apps or games to free up more space.
For photos and videos, especially if you're on a Mac, I recommend downloading MacDroid. It allows you to manage your Android files directly from Finder. You can transfer photos and videos to another storage device with ease. Download MacDroid from the App Store or directly from the developer's website.
Install MacDroid and explore its connectivity options like Wi-Fi, ADB, or MTP. For Wi-Fi, just enable Developer options on your Android by tapping the Build Version in your settings multiple times, then enable USB debugging and Wireless debugging. In the Wireless debugging setting choose the Pair device with QR code option. In MacDroid, select the Pair via QR code option. After that, point the camera at the screen of your MacBook, which displays the QR code. The device should be automatically connected.
MacDroid not only facilitates file transfers but also lets you manage files on the device or transfer them to an external disk without device connection limits.
