Hillary I can not believe you've touched on this topic with the ottoman. My daughter just purchased the same one. She showed me the color options and she loved the lighter one like you have, I told her as much as I loved it it will get filthy so she went with a charcoal gray. She clearly wasn't as happy when it was delivered yesterday . If had only watched your video sooner I would have probably told her stick with her original choice. I feel kinda responsible for encouraging her to go with a darker color. Moms sure don't know everything. What an informative useful video.

I love how you don't just throw away something just because it is dirty or old. You clean it up or repair it, good for you!! It seems like we live in a "throw away" society and it's nice to see someone who takes care of their things. You are such a good steward, which is what the Lord wants us to be. We have a little something in common . . . my husband has played guitar on our worship team for over 20 years. I think Dan plays on worship team, too, right? Enjoy your channel so much! Great tips Hilary! One more I use frequently is a product called Totally Awesome. You can buy it at Dollar General for $1. My daughter recently purchased a used vehicle. We cleaned all of the upholstery, and it looks brand new!

Wow! The ottoman looks great! I had never heard of Grandma’s Spot remover. I will have to check that one out. I have used a product called Wine Away that works great on a lot of different stains.

I used a needle and thread to sew them down as tightly as I could and added some hot glue for reinforcement 💛

I ordered 2 of the pillow cases. Navy , gray and off white are my colors. I think they will look beautiful with the light pink velvet pillows I use in the summer xoxo.... Mom is in rehab and everyone adores her. They call her sunshine because she is always so happy. She does not look 96, ( just turned 96 Feb. 15th) she has not one wrinkle on her forehead. The charge nurse sat me down yesterday and she told me your mom adores you she was telling me her story yesterday. She told her she will never forget my daddy (husband of 56 years) and how she had me at 38 and when I opened my eyes and they were light blue she cried because her father had the same color eyes and he passed away when she was 6. I wish I could tell you her story you would just love it. When she comes home she will no longer be alone when I'm working, we will have a company I know real well do care giving. I will have less stress. Then my 17 year old girl comes home about 3 weeks ago and says, mom I'm graduating this June ( she is only a Jr. Class of 2021) I'll be graduating first in my class. I cried myself to sleep that night I was not ready for that news. So off to college a year early. Oh Hillary 😳

It got crayon out?!?!!? I just added that Grandma's spot treatment to my amazon cart. My 2 year old recently colored our nursery ottoman. I've just been covering it with a blanket.

One of my favorite applicable quotes for the years with young children comes from Fran Lebowitz: “Freshly washed and relieved of all obvious confection, children remain... sticky.” It validated me during the years that we would bathe them, get them dressed, put them in the car, and take them out at our destination with sticky lint spots on their faces. ?!?! 🙄😂
