How to clean Vornado 533 (Air circulator fan)

Thanks for your tutorial! It was very helpful. I just had one problem. In replacing the screws - I couldn't get them to engage/tighten up. I finally just gave up since they seem to be staying in place, and since commenter J. wellfleetion below said he just left them out entirely, but wondering if this is normal?

Is this the same with vornado 530 and vornado 52?

ugh , i have a switch issue but i have the metal bar bottom green one , suckers are over 200 bucks and it is impossible to get in without breaking it . i have the know how but they built these damned things like an ipod . the switch is a rheostat and located on the very bottom of the metal bar . bloody nightmare as i cannot find any videos. thanks for reading lol.

Vornado fans are the most difficult fans to clean. Don’t recommend them.

Oh God! I'll just buy a new fan and throw my filthy old one in the trash. This is ridiculous!
