I had the all on six upper and all on four lower and threw them in the garbage for snap on dentures. Don't make the mistake I make the fix bridge are impossible to clean the snap on just pop it out and run it under the sink. I never take my snap on out of my mouth it's was better than a fixed bridge. Don't let the dentist lie to you. The tell you the fixed bridge is better because it's more money for them
Just because you didn't succeed doesn't mean it's not worth doing. I've been doing them for 2 months, I've done everything in six bottoms and tops and I'm doing great. It's true when you say that you can clean them more easily, but eating and speaking with fixed teeth is something else entirely. I am very scrupulous about hygiene, I brush my teeth after meals and use mouthwashes. In the morning I wake up without any odor in my mouth and never during the day do I notice any odor coming from my breath. My hairline turned out much better than what you see in the video and I don't need to do interdental cleaning.
Hi there, thanks for your question. We have found that when patients (who have had zygoma implants) use a waterpik- bacteria can make it's way up into the zygoma. The soft tissue surrounding the upper area is thin and bacteria can be flushed in between the soft tissue and the site of the implant-. This is due to how the implant is positioned and the shape of it. Therefore overall this can cause an ingress of bacteria into the site and cause a fistula. Therefore at our clinic and with our patients, we strongly recommend our patients not to use it. However, you can use a waterpik on your lower all on 4 implants and you can use it on your upper implants IF you have had standard implants. We hope this information helped.
@@montisaori3348 You would just clean it like you usually would without using the waterpik. This includes using x-floss, interdental (TePe) brushes and a regular toothbrush. We have created a video which explains how to clean your all on 4 plus dental implants in detail, which you can view here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Drs0d6UO-T8.html. In this video we also explain a little bit more about why waterpik's should not be used with zygoma implants.
Thanks for this video. I had to go to my doctor because I had a build-up of plaque at the bottom. It was easy to remove; however, the build-up was due to the fact that I couldn't use the Oral-B floss to clean due to the flimsy tip. I just managed to clean the bottom; however, I'm still having issues with getting at the top. I guess that I may need to purchase another type of floss with a stiffer tip. I also have the floss threaders...and eventually, I'll get better at it I hope.
Hi there, it is normal for patients to take a bit of time to get use to the new cleaning methods, especially flossing. X-floss is recommended as it is much thicker and has the harder tip therefore is easier to thread through. This is floss that is designed to be used specifically for implants and bridges. The floss threader can definitely help as it helps to place the floss easier than it would with your hands. We would recommend just sticking with it, and it will eventually become like second nature to you! We hope this video can help you :)
Hi there, it is not possible for patients to take the teeth out without going to the dentist, as screws need to be undone etc to take the teeth off the implants. All On 4 Plus teeth are permanent, which means that they can't be removed ( without a dentists help) so it is completely normal to be cleaning them like you would regular teeth ( with a few minor differences). Using the x-floss, te-pe brushes and water flosser will clean your teeth and under the bridge well enough. When you come to your 6 monthly appointments, we may find that we will remove the bridges if you are in need of a good clean, but if you are cleaning your teeth as recommended by us, it's unlikely that we would need to take the teeth out at all! We hope this information helps :)
Still have to go get a professional cleaning for all on four every one to two years. That’s why the 3 on six is more favorable. Never have to go back, detach, and drop $1000 just to get a cleaning for the rest of your life.
Hi there, food will still build up underneath each bridge. Both All On 4 Dental Implants and 3 on 6 need to have a proper clean every 6 or so months as there are places that the floss you are given does not reach. For optimal oral health and to give your implants the best chance of not failing, professional cleans are essential.

@@GQ1921What do you mean, you never take your snap on out of your mouth? I’ve been thinking of getting a fixed denture and now you have me wondering what to get. Thanks, Jeanne
