I forgot to mention, you could always change up the ratio and add more water to the mixture to lower the tackiness for the light grip mats (2 parts water and 1 part glue). The same for the strong grip mats, you could do 2 parts glue and 1 part water (or simply 2 coats of the 1:1 ratio). I hope this helps 💛
Done all this except the tacky glue. Mine still has all the glue but your method is by far the best imo and I already have that glue so when mine do eventually loose their sticky after cleaning I now know what to do. TYSM 🥰🥰🥰
You are welcome! I am glad you want to try it out 😊 When I first tried it, I was seriously SHOOK how good the glue worked! Let me know if it works out for you 💛
Hi, this is a great hack!! Does the glue come off when you clean the mats like you showed in the first part or do you have to apply glue again or will it just work 1 time?
You are welcome!! I am glad you found it helpful 💛 Yes! That’s actually a great idea, you could put them sitting next to a sunny window and it would help dry them quicker

Bonjour, oui votre vidéo est vraiment très intéressante et je vais acheter cette colle pour redonner vie à mes tapis. Merci pour les doses que vous avez inscrit ci-dessous très important aussi. Bien cordialement
Hi Girl, I ask you, What kind of hack Resticking mat about Cricut Mat... I'm newbie 3 week, I'm from Philippines in the part Cebu. :) Thank you for share.
You are welcome!! I am glad you found it helpful ☺️ I actually have lost a lot of mine too! Lol What I do is clean the back of my mats and stack them behind each other after they are dry. I keep them hung up on my wall so they don’t get dirty on my working table
How do you not get baby wipe fibers all over your cleaned mats? also, why do you not scrape the old adhesive off and does it make the surface uneven to keep the old adhesive on? Thank you! I hope to clean the like 50 mats I have cause I keep buying them lol
I feel like the water and dish soap mixture really helps the wipe glide off the mat nicely without leaving any fibers behind! Versus doing it on a dry mat and getting stuck on the adhesive. 😊 As for the adhesive, I personally wouldn’t want to take the time to take it off because as long as you clean your mats first, you wouldn’t have an uneven surface. Just make sure to scrape away any material off when cleaning them to avoid that. I hope that helps! 💛
No. This glue is designed to not dry hard and instead dries to remain tacky. The regular flies will dry into a hard almost plastic or hard rubber texture and will not be sticky at all. You need to use the correct type glue for this method to be successful
It won’t leave any glue residue at all since the adhesive was diluted with water and the new coat of adhesive is very thin. ☺️ Just make sure it is completely dry before you use the mat for projects
Correct, anything with alcohol in it will remove the adhesive from the mat and only add to the problem. I use dish soap, A stiff small scrub brush and warm water to wash mine after each use and that keeps them the longest: I will be trying this re-tack method and see how that works for me now because a few of my mats are at the end of their useful life right now so it won’t hurt to try it out on them.
