Well the hop up on mine is steel so I'm not sure if whoever said that really knows what they may be saying. No offense, im just being real. I use oil on my gas guns and grease I would use on my electric rifles. As long as that is out of the way, there is not too much to be concerned about :) Hope this helps.

360SRH 2 as long as its petroleum-free, white lithium grease could maybe be used for friction parts, and it might hold lubrication longer than oil. I’ve never tried it, but that’s what I’ve heard. I think you could even use AEG gear grease cause I think it’s also white lithium grease.

Kordell Pierce Hi thanks, but I mean on GBB, the bolt and all parts are metal with oil. But the very end of the bolt has a plastic piece should I use half grease half oil? That’s what I’ve been told by some staff in the airsoft shop.

360SRH 2 yes I do mean you can possibly use AEG gear grease on a gbbr, because it’s basically white lithium grease safe for Airsoft parts. And that plastic piece is your nozzle, and I’d recommend regular oil for that.

Still running strong with pretty harsh abuse.

You really should clean it after every game since it is like a real gun but honestly, it's been ages since I have cleaned mine 😅

For the trigger box, maybe once a year just to inspect it and apply a few drops of lube. Honestly I have gotten away with never taking it off once I installed it so I should at least inspect it. As for the nozzle, only lube the 3 fins that contact the bolt carrier and perhaps the O-ring that is in the back of the nozzle. Lubricating the O-ring is not as important as sometimes I have removed it completely. Never ever lube the tip of the nozzle or inside the nozzle. It will spill to the inner barrel and cause unconsistency with the bucking. Your BBs will shoot all over the place. Hope this helps. 🤙🏼

@@StarkillerAirsoft Can i use the same lab as you used in the bolt? I was thinking in buy a WE M16A3 and upgrade it with the RA TECH trigger box, mapple bucking and stay with the standar WE bolt and nozzel, that could be a good start?

Have you tried removing your selector switch?

I haven't used that oil before on my airsoft guns. Only on my real firearms. I never have taken the risk for the sake of my O-rings. I've only stuck to any thick silicone lubricant.

Which gun did you purchase? It isn't normal.

This is actually the AAC300 WE M4 from Airsoft Taiwan which is pretty much a beefed up WE M4. It was way expensive as you can actually acquire much more with the money you save. I use the stock bolt since it gives me better performance but the steel trigger box is good. I am from CA but what they did is they shipped the upper and lower in separate packages. Hope this helps.

I think because it is red. I am pretty certain it is just Automotive Transmission Fluid but I have never had a bottle and ATF side by side to compare.

As long as it is on the bolt and charging handle only. Then it should be okay. I would avoid getting it on the nozzle.

Late on this but I strongly recommend against using real steel lubrication because the ingredients most of the time can be extremely harsh on rubber and plastic Airsoft parts should it get anywhere near the nozzle or seals and anything else. For friction parts, Petroleum free White lithium grease can do the job well (like, the same kinda grease you can use on AEG gearboxes) then for your seals I recommend pure silicon oil (look up RC car shock oil, imo its the best source for it should you not be able to find it for Airsoft guns). Realistically you can use the silicon oil for all of it, but grease tends to hold its lubrication a bit longer against friction, and you don’t have to apply as much as you would with oil. But for seals you must use oil. Hope this helps.

Yes. I completely forgot to put that in the video. 😂 Dont use silicone. Use alcohol but completely disassemble it to the bare barrel without the hop up bucking. Alcohol breaks apart gunk and evaporates. Hope it helps man and next time I wont forget to include that in my videos.

dean erl What's up man. These guns are pretty durable and can take a beating. If you follow these steps on the gun itself, you should be fine. I find it easier to clean than AEG (electric) guns. The rest is just barrel cleaning and magazine maintenance. I'll try to make another video for that. It's simple though. Hope this helps.

Why on earth would you choose an EBB? That is like the worst of both worlds. You get next to no recoil but you also have durability issues where the reciprocating piston has a tendency to break.

Not really, the bolt recoil system doesnt damgae internals, and you can feel the recoil.

Annd, gas mags are kinda expensive aswell, I would buy a vfc gbbr mk18 but it wasnt recommended by other guys, I mean for 400$ a gbbr that has steel parts and has a mk18 rail its a pretty good package, but yeah people told me to go away from gbb as my first airsoft gun.

Not really. Any other cleaning things will do. This is just nice to have. Silicone oil however is necessary to make it run smooth. Just like a real gun. And as long as you do not clean the inner barrel with oil, you are golden.

Starkiller Airsoft say I’m shooting a co2 pistol in the garden, probably like once or twice a month, how often will this need to be cleaned? Also, do I need to clean an aeg, thinking of getting one?

@@ProdByHK12 sorry for the late reply. The good thing about AEG is that they require less maintenance since the gearbox usually protects the internals from debris or dirt. As far as the pistol, it doesnt need to much maintenance. But if it is CO2, it is a dry air with no saturation so it will dry the rubber parts. As long as you lubricate your O-rings, you are golden 👌
