Girl thank you for this! I did not want to spend a crazy amount of money on cleaning because I got the rug for under $100. I was contemplating putting it in the wash at the laundromat… this just calmed my anxiety.

I brought it to the cleaners and it really looked the same as to when I brought it in and they said it’s because of the material on the bottom of the it. I’m confused about something, should I still spray with the oxy clean the night before or no?

I use those or reg washer twice. I just use bleach and soap lots a soap but I used baking soda my daughter told me to and it worked real well in my curtains n I'm gonna use a brush n try brushing it out. It's flat from my dog when she was alive. I usually don't have an issue. I've dried them too no issues but I need the brush now

You can skip the step of oxy clean spray I don’t think it did too much. Your rug should be fine in the washer. Just don’t put it in the dryer! Lol good luck
Thanks for the video. Trying this now on my large pink rug so I’m not going to use the bleach obv. Hope it works🤞or I’m never buying a fur rug again haha. 😅
Update: my rug was larger sized 10x14 and it still fit into the 20lb capacity washer at the laundromat. I used the same products as you used except the bleach since mine is pink. It still cleaned 2 years worth of grime out! And the cat brush was very helpful. Only lost a little bit of fluff. I was ready to buy a whole new rug for my nursery. I had tried using a regular carpet cleaning machine on it and it didn’t work at all. I also tried spot cleaning it but nothing was working. Thanks 😊
Thanks girl!!! I’m struggling!! I love my white fluffy rug, but I can’t believe how fast it got dirty! And my rug cleaner isn’t doing the job. Mine is under my bed and comes out the sides. It’s amazing how beautiful it looks where the bed is 🤦🏻♀️. I don’t even have pets and I’m a very clean person. And this has been a struggle!! Unfortunately, mine is way too big for any industrial size wash machine. I’m going to try the OxiClean and fabric softener (scrubbing with my hands), then my rug cleaner….then taking your advice, I’m going to brush mine. Hope it comes out as beautiful as yours! 🙏
Yesss they’re beautiful and soft but such a headache😔 what size is your rug? Try the Oxiclean powder and not the spray. Maybe mix it with warm water and work in sections. Good luck!!!! 🤞🏾Thank you for watching!❤️
@@kortneylashawn9176 it’s 10X16ft. I used the powder OxiClean like you suggested. It looks pretty good I’d say. Still waiting for it to dry. But the brush was an important factor for aesthetic!! I never woulda thought to do that. Thanks again!!! ☺️🙏
