This fella's videos are without doubt, the best & most helpful I've seen....& I've sat through a lot!!! No nonsense information without loads of technical jargon.
Hello About the House. As others have said, your videos are the best out there. No long talk. Just straight to the point and very useful because of that. This particular one was helpful when I've been packing away my hot tub and the other on how to deflate it was very useful. Thanks so much. As you say, the Lay Z Spa instructions are non existent.
Thanks, Su. I take the same philosophy with this channel as I do on my main channel (ru-vid.com) which is to offer a 'one stop' solution with down to earth, practicle advice and methods that anyone can copy or adapt.
Hello Mr About the House, your videos are the best help I’ve found.Very, very clear advice and instructions . I have struggled with the lazy spa instruction booklet which is non existent and bad pictures. I have used your videos since spring when I bought my Ibiza spa and couldn’t have managed. Now it’s autumn and I’m following all the empty, clean and deflate instructions which are fantastic. Thank you!! Fiona
Just want to say thank you so much for sharing. We brought our first ever lazy spa in summer had few issues along thr way as no friends we can ask. Glad i have now come across your videos to guide us 😊 x
Michigan, eh? I've been there. Detroit to be exact. On business with Lear Corp working with TRW out in Romeo. Is the Ticonderosa restaurant still there? It was awesome. Three times I've been, third time was working with Brose.
This guy is knows what he is talking about I’ve learnt so much thank you so much for your knowledge If it wasn’t for you I probably wouldn’t know what to do and how to use it so ABI THANK YOU 🙏🏾😉😄😄
This gent has got to be the best advert for cleaning your lay z spa and using dishwasher tablets was so easy to clean the inside of tub it’s come up like new again keep up the great videos.
I used this video as a guide before draining and cleaning my Paris Layz spa today. Great tip to use a dissolved dishwasher tablet. But at the end, when he says that the process took him ten minutes, I wondered where I went wrong, because not including draining or refilling, it took me nearer to 90 minutes to clean the tub. The lid alone, which is fiddly, took 20 minutes. I’ve now watched a few of his videos and they are all great.
@@AbouttheHouse0 nothing to improve on, I thought the whole video was very informative, you explained what you were doing throughly! Loved the demonstration. look forward to next video!
I found when cleaners filters, take them to the shower and put it on its fastest setting it blasts all the dirt out they come up new! I did originally use a toothbrush but found it was making the pleats of the filter thin.
Great uploads, always helps to watch these to remind myself so thank you for your work, and on the sponge filters I now use them as I find they also work much better, I get a pack of 6 from Amazon, each 1 lasts me about 3 weeks and the pack of 6 is 8 pounds so not too bad for 8 pounds every 4 months :)
Thanks so much for all your videos and explanations without them I was struggling to set mine up. Now I feel much more confident in using it. The instructions from Bestway are not great at all.
Ty for sharing info on how to clean tub n filter inside spa with dish washing tablets . That’s awesome!! How do you clean filter inside the motor tank it also has a filter. ?
Wish I wasn’t single and disabled and had a friend like you , I’ve had to threw away after one year before sadly as I couldn’t keep it dry inside. Thanks for videoing and sharing.
I would also turn the airjets on for like 10 minutes, not too long cuz it can get warm, but just to dry off where area where the bubbles come out of cuz you obviously can't reach in there. I find the dryer the better cuz it can get mouldy if not done right. I normally keep it in a spare room for like a week just to get it as dry as possible.
Hi Paul, thanks for the comment. It's great to know my videos are really connecting with people, although I must confess when I started this second channel I never expected these videos to connect quite so spectacularly. Obviously, I'm well chuffed they have
Thank you, as always, for the fabulous advice. I was about to checkout on Amazon some Lay Z Spa cleaning spray and some magic sponges made for the job, that's saved £20. I keep referring back to your videos because I find your style so informative and easy to follow, only today I went back to your video explaining how to drain the tub. Thank you again, it's peace of mind knowing you've covered every aspect of Lay Z Spa ownership that I can keep coming back to!
You are the reason we brought this specific lazy spa, your videos are so informative so thanks for all your help. Not sure if you can help, but I've had to clean the spa after 3 weeks due to it feeling slimy at the bottom - that seems to soon? Also, 2 weeks later it's slimy again. Maybe I'm not doing the chemicals properly!
Very helpful, very much appreciated. Who can I buy the thermal and winter covers from? Can they be bought online as I live 12,000 miles away from you in New Zealand. Cheers Tom
Thanks for the great video 👍 i have 2 questions for you.. how long should it take for the water to heat up in the tub with the lid on?? And do you have a link for a video of yours on how to empty the water?? Ive tried to empty my tub,but i have roughly a 1/4 or a 1/3 of water remaining and l cant get it out by using my method of the first part i took out 🤷♂️ thanks
Love your videos they have helped my husband & i loads. Your link wont load i was wondering where u get blue filters ans what temp to wash them out or oringal are gross lol
Best way wants $45 to answer my question so I can to you. I cleaned my spa according to your directions. My spa massage doesn’t work. Stopped working last year so I thought it needed a really good cleaning but still not working. Any suggestions? You haven’t steered me wrong yet!!!
This is going to be my job for tomorrow was woundering what would be the best to clean it so a big thankyou for this video it’s helped loads as with all your videos on the tub again big thanks 🙏🏻👍👍👍
.Thank you very much for your helpful videos. The temperature wont increase from 21degrees. Have tried the reset button but no difference. Can you help please. Thanks. Zoe and Peter
This is a great video so far I haven’t heard you say how often you need to do that cleaning job I just got my Sal you spa Miami it’s a tiny little thing but it’s fine for me. How often do you clean the filter and how often do you need to empty and scrub it out the way you are. Huge thanks for these very informative and educational videos
This is how I clean the filters. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cx73nRpCtRM.html I change the filter fortnightly. I drain and clean the tub every 2-3 months. Tends to need it doing more often if we have guests round using it.
Hi do you have any hints on how to get rid of red/brown stains from the sides of the tub when it’s been left a while? We have scrubbed with usual methods but there is still some staining on the inside walls
Thanks for this! Love your videos. I will confess my hot tub has been a bit neglected. The last time I got in I got out sharpish as could feel the base was a bit slimy! Any how it’s all emptied out now and I’m going to clean it as you have shown. Can I ask if there are any products you’d recommend to rinse out the pipes etc???
Best series of videos on Lay-Z-Spa on the Internet. Would think it couldnt get better, but the Deep Purple T-Shirt makes it amazing :) So many good tips.
Can you help me please. When opening the hot tub after winter. Why is the liner and lid inside stained like a red ish orange colour and how do you get these stains off please. If you can help me please x
Like Mr Rea said "I'm working on it", lol. But seriously, I want to be able to give solid advice backed up by science and measurement. To do that I need to invest in equipment and experimentation takes time. So please bear with me. Other videos I've seen about energy use seem to be based around "opinion" with little 'real' guidance as to what measures to do first (biggest bang for buck type of thing). I hope to buck that trend.
@@AbouttheHouse0 We were going to buy the Vegas model but thanks to your videos we have gone for the St Moritz. Collecting it on Sat - feeling v excited! Your videos are great 👍
Thank you so much for this video I'm in the process of my first full drain and clean since I got my Hawaii hjp. Didn't realise you could use a dishwasher tablet so that's new so I will definately be trying this thank you :) also Didn't know if you know this but you can get spa filters in the UK from the range Asda Tesco most large supermarkets and b&q :)
We've had a load of people in ours, so I've already had to change the water. My brother has a rigid tub and only uses it March to September. He fills it once in March and drains it in September. Keep chlorine levels right, shower before going in and clean the filter regularly (weekly) and 3-6 months should be achievable.
Hi, can you help? I have just emptied and cleaned my lazy spa vegas. Inflating it and soon as I stop it deflated, seems air is coming out of air jet holes? It was fine when I emptied water from it. Can’t see any punctures
Can anyone help me please. I have some like orange / red ish stains on the liner. What’s the best thing to use as I don’t want to damage anything. Hope to hear back. Thank you xxxxx
As long as you keep up with the chlorine and are somewhere near with the other levels and clean/change the filter weekly, it seems you should be okay for 2-3 months. It does obviously depend on how much "dirt" you introduce. Showering before tubbing helps, especially if you've been using sun cream or deodorants. Oh, and keep the lid on when you're not in it.
Hello, please help, we only used the tub once after putting a 3.0g chlorine tablet. The following day the water was a milky light green colour. We added 2 more chlorine tablets and the next day some granules but the dipstick says the chlorine is 0 (white) and the water is still green. Any suggestions please?
Hi, hot tub just put up after storage, new filter but when you press the heater control it comes on for few seconds then 📸 EO2 which means dirty filter. .what can I do. Thank you
I'm a newbie and had my hot tub for 5 weeks now...all of a sudden the water has gone cloudy. I've been so strict and regimented with looking after it that I don't know what I've done wrong!! Any advice please 🙏
Just bought a st moritz.. I agree.. instructions aren’t very good. Feel like I’m doing something wrong. I bought the starter kit and followed the instructions but my friends say I need the chlorine tablets as well to put inside the “Chem connect “ that came in the box.. ??
I'm about 10 weeks in now and still only using granules. I am going to start using tablets as well soon. I do have the advantage of being at home every day to do the testing etc.
@@tomryanbrown7706 not more then clicking on a video which you clearly care nothing about just to chat rubbish in the comments! Do you not have anything better to do?
Hi Peeps, after heating up our tahiti model (2÷4 person) turned it off 12 hours ago and the temp has dropped only 5 degs with the clever spa thermal jacket
