KKOA - I watched a couple of other "cleaning" vids but those awnings didn't look too bad. Then I saw yours - YES! This awning is close to the funkiness and stain level of ours! Thanks for the great before and after shots! Subbed!
Holy moly, after 10 minutes of scrubbing became exhausted and looked up some how-to videos. I was so excited that I called the wife after just a few seconds into the video and she just happened to be on her way to the Dollar Tree. I can’t wait to try this. Saweeeet!
Glad you found our video don't forget to spray it real good and roll it back and let it soak for atleast 30 minutes. Let me know how it works out for you.
Dude, this worked great. I can't believe how well it worked. It literally looks brand new. The only thing I did differently was I sprayed the side of the trailer down with water first so I didn't take the wax off.
I know right we couldn't believe it either.Yes it is absolutely amazing stuff. Awe good idea about spraying down the side of the trailer first I did not think of that. Thanks for commenting and watching!
I’m so glad I found your video. My deck awning has so much moss on it that I was beginning to think it would never come clean. Seeing your RV awning come clean caused me to order this product. Our RV will eventually need it too.
Well as you can see our awning was pretty bad and it looks practically brand new. I am that you are now encouraged to try this out. Thanks for watching and commenting. Good luck!
We just used this method yesterday. Wow! Worked great. Our awning was nowhere near this dirty but we didn't want to wait until it was. The lawn sprayer was a worksaver, and we just happened to have one in our lawn care shed. So, thank you, Kevin, for a great awning cleaning solution. Oh, and we couldn't find a way to measure out the stuff in our five gallon sprayer so I just winged it. Pour in some stuff, pour in some water.
That great. Yeah I don't think there is am exact measurement. The sprayer is the way to go. I need to clean my awning now on my new bullet. Safe travels and thanks for watching!
Thank you for sharing this video. Very informative, and I enjoyed the way you and your wife described step by step how to accomplish this. My wife and I are going to try this with our camper.
I'm camping right now and my awning looks bad. Looking for a cleaning video I found this one! Can't wait to go back home and try it. I'll update after I'm done!
Holy Smokes!!! Not only did that chemical work amazingly for the awning but I sprayed it on the side of the camper and black and brown stuff started melting away immediately. I used a lighter duty electric pressure washer for the under side of the awning rinse (recommend using a garden hose sprayer to rinse the chemical off first so that it isn't dripping down in the eyes and onto your face when rinsing). I used the RV washer pole brush on the top of the awning and rolled it out a couple feet at a time to make it easier to reach. Finished off by pressure washing the underside and WOW! Brand new looking! Great video sir and mam!
Good I am glad it worked out for you. It is a night and day difference huh? Well be sure to subscribe and check out some more money saving things we have done Safe travels!
1:5 ratio. Mine was very dirty from 8 months rolled up in Reno. Used a tankk sprayer, wet the awning and at least 30 minute roll up. The surface dirt rinsed off, but I had to lightly scrub to get the darker junk off. I then had to spot treat and scrub areas to get it really white. It's not a miracle product, but I give it a thumbs up.
I wish I had seen this before I cleaned mine. I used the totally awesome with the same results. Didn’t know about rolling the awning up for 30 minutes so it took me a lot longer.
Tried this today but only let it sit for 5mins and didn't work too well.. I'll try again tomorrow and let it sit for the 30-45mins as you suggested. Thank you for this video. Hoping that I can get mine cleaned out good.
Yes you need to let it sit for atleast 30mins to an hour to allow it to break up and dissolve the grime. Good luck and thanks for watching and commenting!
@@KevinandKimOutdoorAdventures thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I’ve tried it all at this point and can’t get the streaks to go. The totally awesome made it 80% better but I can’t get the rest of it. Tried soft brush hard brush pressure washer magic eraser everything but bleach.
I was thinking hose end sprayer. Then you brought out your tank sprayer. My local Dollar Tree sells that cleaner. Looks like some rain gear my be nice also.
I use "30 second cleaner" Spray it on, and let it soak and hose it off.... looks like new and no scrubbing. The product uses all natural enzymes, no bleach or other nasty chemicals.
Usually these type of chemicals are really expensive so diluting it will save money and it lasts longer. Depends on how dirty something is I guess right?lol
@@KevinandKimOutdoorAdventures i gave it a try, worked pretty good. I used the bug sprayer right out of the gate. I knew I was going to throw that spray bottle out into the street after about five minutes.
@@KevinandKimOutdoorAdventures the air cylinder needs time to recover. 12-14 inches out from when you first start to open it. Wait about 5 seconds then open it all the way. Same when your rolling it back in
@@KevinandKimOutdoorAdventureswhen you roll it back in do you roll it in 18 in and then stop or did you roll it in until it's 18 in from the RV and then stop for a few seconds?
LOL! yeah I usually do the editing on our "How To" videos and yes I am like you I just want to get to the point on how to fix something. Thanks for your comment !
