The shoes in the beginning is the cleanest my white converse get

i like the look of them scratched or scuffed, but not too dirty like with mud and stuff caked on

just put your washer on delicates and dont dry them if you have high tops. i had to double the recipe. my shoes had dark black oil streaks on the sides from an accident in the parking lot and it took it right out, they look brand new now. i also used my blow dryer to speed up the drying process instead of putting them out in the sun. thank you so much for the video!

This actually works so well my converse were a gross yellow color and I have tried 4 methods and yours was the only one that worked all the other ways cleaned the black spots but they didn’t get the yellow out and I was about to buy new ones and waste money until I tried your method if you are reading the comments before you try this I would 100% recommend this also like this comment if your converse get yellow

Woah! That is so amazing. I use warm water+ detergen+ baking powder . Its like magic, BOOOM !!! ITS ALL WHITE! . I want to tell all of my friends!! Cant wait to be proud of myself to see that smile on their face

I work at Converse and we advise people to clean the non porous part of the shoe with a Mr Clean Magic Eraser

I wouldn't suggest soaking them, it tend to weaken the glue. While they are still wet after washing them, put maizena (corn flour) on them and place some toilet paper on the wet maizena (the toilet paper absorbs any leftover detergent, so no yellow marks). When it's dry, remove tissue, take an old soft toothbrush and brush the maizena off. (to wash I recommend green sunlight soap bar)

I wouldn't recommend using the dryer, better to let them dry in the sun so the shoes won't lose there shape over time and the sun has a bleaching effect as well which you want for white shoes

This helped so much! Now my white converse are clean! But some people in the comment section say to put it in the washer... You don't put them in the washer they will shrink! The plastic warps! Just put them in front of a fan or out did and they will dry. But anyway I'm going to use this method more often!

When you wash your shoes. Have it on delicate and find a pillowncase you dont need and put your shoes in the pillowncase to avoid your shoes being damaged in the washer and for your shoe laces use a cup of hot water and bleach and let it sit for maybe 3 min or 4 and rinse your shoe laces in water then dont take your shoes outside to air dry cause yo shoes will turn yellow in the front just let them air dry in your house using a hair dryer.

I recommend using shoe tree's so that the form of the shoe doesn't lose its shape. Also so that it is easier to clean because there is more structure! But all in all great video! It really helped me clean my all white prestos.

i love this video, but i wouldn't put my shoes in the dryer bc they can shrink . i would put them outside to air dry and also if u put them in the sun they can be dry in 30 minutes depending on where u put them

There’s another method I saw with baking soda and hydrogen peroxide with pretty much the exact same steps they just let the shoes dry in the sun with the chemicals on them and then washed the residue off and they looked brand new as well. I’m definitely doing this

I used this method on my white puma sneakers and it worked. My shoes haven't been that white since I got them. I used to have those stubborn brown stains you get on your shoes from wearing them outside. I have tried so many methods and this worked the best

OMG I just got my white converse and I was terrified to do this and idk do I have to put them in the washer to make them look brand new Bc they are pretty new and I don't want to like turn them yellow or something but when I first wore them I basically walked threw mus I guess bc they looked like someone thought they were paper and started splatter painting in the with brown paint

Have been using this method on my black converse for WEEKS such a great method can't wait to try it on my new white ones!

I scrub my shoes the same way, but if you put two caps of bleach in a bowl and soak your shoelaces in it for a few hours, they come out really white and it has not damaged my shoelaces at all

Fiy not sure if its because of the tide pod or the combination of both it and the baking soda, but it will leave hands very sticky when wash and dried for a little bit. Next time I do this, I might wear gloves lol. Other than that my shoes look so good after the cleaning I'm very happy about the results😊👍

I wouldn't put laces in the machine like that as they will disappear down the back of the drum , best thing to use is one of the Breathable durable mesh laundry bags , that way what goes in will come out & not vanish . Good video otherwise

I found an amazing concoction You'll need Dawn bleach ALTERNATIVE dish detergent Fabulousa (blue?😂) with bleach ALTERNATIVE Tide pod any kind Peroxide Baking soda Toothpaste ( I uses armanhammer baking soda) I little bit of waiter 1/2 cup And some stain remover (I used shout) The outcome was WOW and no yellow colour

This really worked wonders for me ! My shoes are almost as clean and white as new ! Thanks !
