So grateful to you for this video. I just kept watching my disk space get lower and lower, saying I only had 295 MB free of 114 GB, and I work entirely from my flash drive and keep nothing that could take up any such amount of space on the computer itself. To discover this is a game changer. Thank you so, so much.
Make sure to delete these in the Recycle Bin. 0:36 Clear Temporary Files (Windows> Run> temp and %temp% > CTRL+A > Delete) 2:07 Delete Prefetch (Run > Prefetch > CRTL+A > Delete) 3:01 Delete Windows Files (Storage Settings > This PC or Local Disc (C) > Temporary Files > Any Files Taking Up Too Much Space) 4:03 Clear Software Distribution Download Folder (File Explorer > This PC or Local Disc (C) > C Drive > Windows Folder > Software Distribution Folder > Download Folder > CTRL or Command Delete) 5:45 Disc CleanUp (Search Disc CleanUp > Disc CleanUp App > Clean C Drive or Local Disc > Look through how much space each Folder takes > Select All If Uneeded > OK > Permanently Delete Files) 9:05 Clear Browser Data (Chrome, Explorer, etc Settings > Clear Browser History & Any Other Thing > Delete)
A 10 min video for a 10 second answer.... Run %temp% and delete all the temp files. Skip when it says if one is in use. There you go! This is how to do it without a whole 10 min vid. You're welcome :)
I don't know why your going around saying this to people. Its not just a ten minute video for nothing, he's actually showing us how to do it. Not everyone understands by text and needs to visionally see instead. Plus he shows multiple methods. If you had a problem with the time, stop complaining and go find a less informative short one idiot. @@asadmahmood2007
Btw im probably gonna need to factory reset my laptop, and i dont have some passwords, cuz its my dads old laptop xD. You have any idea how i can surpass this? Also i dont have another pc/laptop.

Nah, this guy needs more subscribers than he already has because he gives basic information that anybody could easily follow! I don't know much I can thank you enough.
About time someone made a clear and precise piece on how to clear wasted space. Clear and precise. There is still some in disk clean up that refuse to be cleaned up, but at least I have managed to release an enormous amount of wasted space. Many, many thanks.
2 and a half years later I find this video, I imagine I will return in another 2 and a half years when I forget how to do all this again, thankyou for upload this really helped!
Thanks for this video. It helped get my system to run a lot faster than it did before. There is just 1 thing that I think everyone should know though. As you keep going back into "Disk Cleanup" each time to delete files, you are actually deleting everything in your "Download" file under "This PC". So, if there is something there that they want to keep, they better make a folder in "Documents" and move all that content there. I only know this because I followed the steps for Disk Cleanup until I had 0 left to delete. After I did all that, I restarted my PC (Started up so much faster) and went to my "Download" file to start some videos I had downloaded before following these steps and they were all gone, as well as downloaded programs .exe files I keep for future purposes or to re-install on another device. All of that was deleted, not angry, because those programs still operate (Thank goodness), now I have to remember what all of the programs I installed are. Yes, it is a little funny, just happy that it didn't affect them. Very happy that I didn't delete important items.
This video BY FAR, the BEST tutorial on how to clean up my HP desktop. Even with his heavy accent, I understood every word and instruction. He was concise, clear and went at a speed that was appropriate. I will be subscribing

It worked. My wife’s computer was packed to the gills and she couldn’t save any photo edits. I did your tricks and it cleaned up HALF the hard drive. Thank you so much.
Thank you! My local disk was nearly full, and now I have about 102 GB of free space available on my C drive. You've helped me greatly. God bless you, and keep up the great work!

I let the ads run at full length at minimum volume because I appreciate the video. I come back over and over. I send this to everyone with windows as well.
Temporary files: 3:20 I noticed in your example that only 'Empty recycle bin' was selected, whereas in my pc it defaulted to selecting ALL the boxes in my Temp files. It's probably not important, but thought I'd mention it as - for whatever reason - some people might not want to delete all the data being automatically selected within this utility. Thanks for the excellent video - I'll now go and tackle my 86 year old mum's slow-slow-slow laptop..
Wow, thanks! After receiving a computer from my aunt that had very little storage on the C drive where I was unable to factory reset it, I finally was able to reset my PC by using your tutorial!
thx man, i have a 2tb ssd and a 4tb hdd but man, they were so close to being fully filled up, i ended up deleting over 200gbs of useless junk, much appreciated brother
I cannot thank you enough! It is so dumb having to solve probelms updating things with only 32GBS of storage and this solution helped me clear 6GB of storage! I am so suprised and amazed how well it went! Thanks to you I can finally run Windows 10! You earnt a sub from me :D
Yhooooo this was soo helpful , my laptop was about to crash due to storage problems , i managed to clean about 5.0Gb of space 😩😌....im sooo happy and this was very helpful once again.... 🥂

Hey, my PC says it has 14GB og space taken from the temporary storage file, but when I click on the file it doesn't show me anything on the list that is taking up 14GB, what causes this?
Thats what I am afraid of, deleting files or apps i use that maybe someone else put in my computer that that gave me, that maybe they didn't pay for and use a free download 🤔
this actually works, and there is no problem. prefetch files are things that help your performance but it actually takes down your performance... for some reason. temp files are well... temporary. same with %temp%.
This was one great video glad I found it this help me alot my computer is a 2012 that's how old it is but it still works and now it'll be a little faster thank you
It definitely helped a little but I am still unable to fully delete temp files in order to update windows.. thinking of buying an external hard drive just so I can do the update? Ive already deleted everything I can from the computer, apps, files ect. Do you have anything else I can try?
