We're joined by Doug from Dirty Dozen Races, to show us a few great techniques for climbing over a vertical wooden wall. Find more How To videos on www.mudstacle.com
I was looking at them using legs and I was thinking yes that’s how I’ll be climbing walls so easy now until I see midge at the end and I new that was going to be me when I’m doing it
Thanks for posting. It was super helpful. I've never climbed anything in my life, not even as a kid (was too afraid) although I've been wanting to learn. This has always been a feat I want to accomplish. Your video explained it very well. Most helpful video I've come across
14 years old getting into ocr, helped a whole lot, did mud monsters run this year which was my first race ever and couldnt do the walls, found this and i was able to grasp it pretty quick
Bearded man is bearded and wise. For low walls I've done both the muscle up, simple jump and and the leg up technique. The leg up technique is by far the least effort.
recently i took an obastacle course against same age, same body sized oppenents. i saw them use this technique and iused the parkour wall run up. i just destroyed them. it was no contest
Frfr I would just do a climb up with my nipples over the wall because I can only do phase 2 on a real brick wall with no overgrip, but these narrow plywood walls are free, plus I would just flick up onto the first one because it’s so low and then do precisions, strides, cranes, flick up position landings, or arm jumps across. How tall is the second wall and how tall is midge? As a female I don't have the upper body strength to do a pull up like that. What's an easier technique. Anyone have any advise on techniques.
@3:12 I've tried doing that before, to give my brother a boost up a wall. But always end up with my fingers falling apart, from the weight. Is there an easier way, do I need to do strength training (for hands/fingers), or is it dependent on the boost-ees weight?
And then both of you learn climb ups or at least the lvl1 climb up and you don’t have to watch the whole video ofc: m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZFH-zD3TloA.html Sat//07/10/2021 at 12:24 EDT2
Ikrfr even pseudo traceurs or traceurs who didn’t even start learning climb ups yet would cringe because at least do the elbow technique and step up with a level 1 “climb up”, but those walls are narrow anyways, so the overgrip makes climb ups free, the walls are also low and you don’t even have to do a whole entire climb up from a cat hang, plus you could plyo, stride, arm jump, crane, or land in the flick up position to get across from one wall to the next as they’re that close to each other. First of all, why would you kick or even swing your legs over the wall? Second of all, why would you do a muscle up when you can just put your feet onto the wall, and third of all, that’s LITERALLY NOT EVEN A CLIMB UP because the walls are NARROW AF, SO THERE’S AN OVER GRIP, meaning that even if you can’t do climb ups on a real wall, you can definitely at least get your nipples over the wall on these walls. Also, you flick up at the end or at least step up, plus those are so close that you can just arm jump, waist jump, crane, stride, or precision across.
You just don’t go onto your cock and balls, but just do an actual climb up WITH THE FLICK UP, and if it’s a real wall with no overgrip for cheating, then at least lvl1 with doing a pull up, putting your elbows on the wall, dipping up, and stepping up, but more like just learn climb ups. And you don’t have to watch the whole climb up tutorial ofc: m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZFH-zD3TloA.html Sat/07/10/2021 at 12:28 EDT2
I went on an obstacle course with something like this in it and i just climbed the first one and jump between them. I almost broke my right ankle. I still got first place thought
To all the parkour type haters commenting negatively on this vid, quite often when you need to get over these kind of obstacles in a mud run endurance type event, you are already totally fcked, after miles of running and crawling through rivers, thick mud, up ridiculous hills, etc. the wall run up parkour way is cool but quite energy sapping and early in a long tiring event may work, but these events can really drain you so this advice is good for real world non athletes to save a bit of energy!
You actually have a point there and I can see why they use that technique, besides walls are not that high so you wouldn't need to do a wall run you would just need to do a top up. which if done right can get you off the wall pretty quickly, but that is tiring too.
How to climb ober wall and show in the same wall that u are weak. Wall climbing was a thing in military to climb about actuall walls. If u allready need these noob techniques on this low of a wall learn good pull ups and muscle up.
You must love Jehovah your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. You must love your neighbor as yourself. Jesus the anointed is Lord! Repent and be baptized and believe the Gospel.
@@vapecat5830 These walls are a lot shorter than max reach and have an over grip anyways, plus they’re so close that you can just arm jump, waist jump, crane jump, stride, or precision jump across them.
Paul Johnson is right I'm 5'2 and a 10 foot wall is nothing for parkour just use your momentum push up the wall throw your arms up and climb very easy maybe a 11 foot wall wended a two step but I'm short so
