Honestly biggest tip for diamond and above, get a dedicated squad, a team you work very well with, use the meta legends, and communicate! Comms are everything, but having a squad makes the biggest difference in the game in general.
Getting a squad is as hard as getting to masters or pred. Most of time you get a team that dosen't comm or push into fights way ahead of his with out backup. This is common in low ranks. People in this elo feel.like they r aceu, timmy or shroud 😂😂😂😂 who can take on a squad alone but what it does is just puts ur team in bad situation.
@@proguidesapex i for some reason found it easier doing it solo than playing with my friends. When season 10 started Most of them were bronze, silver 4. I was silver 2 and climbed through Gold within a week. After my friend reached platinum it all went sideways. So i dropped them all and climbed. Reason is that i play solo is because we do not match playstyles. One Will Always not listen and refuse to play any other legends except for one. Another Will loot all game etc. Edit: also raging and being negative was not something i tolerate in a ranked game. Pubs? No problem, we chilling, we screaming. But not ranked
@@MaropSKi yea same for me I made it diamond solo I was hard stuck plat cause my friends were afraid to engage fights but when we get to a bad one they don’t know how to leave it so I had to drop it alr diamond 2 this split
@ClozedCaskets! I've been dealing with 3rd and 4th parties since the day the game came out. If you can't handle a 3rd party then you suck or your team sucks.just recently I was playing on the new map as crypto and defended against a 3rd party by myself, I had 6 kills off landing and I was still able to revive my teammates. I have a video on my RU-vid page of me taking on 3 separate teams by myself, I lost to the 4th team though.
Exactly! I think arenas is a nice starting place for new players. Wish they had it when I started lol I had to learn by watching my teammates and watching RU-vid videos. But it definitely helps take the stress away of possibly being third partied and learning to strictly deal with a team of 3
@@keshang_laow8325 Not everyone is this good lol I know I'm not xD I'm not the kind of person that likes to get pinched because the more gunshots the more teams will come running, plus people like to snipe and get easy knocks from mid-ranged. I usually approach this by repositioning. I wish I could deal with 3rd and 4th parties this way, but it's tough when a bunch of people are focusing on shooting you rather than each other
At level 135 I've only just started really focusing on trying my hand at ranked and reached Gold IV the other day! My end goal for this season is to reach Plat!
Gold is “push that push that push that.” Platinum for me is just 3rd party and stick together. Diamond is stick together and finish fights quick and zone should be the least of your worries.
Bro the best thing is I got my buddy really into Apex and the last two seasons carrying him into Ranked with me were awful but the investments paid off! Now I got a dedicated team member and I used to solo all the way up to diamond just stressing now we are Gold but it so much easier. Get a communicative team member y’all! Biggest help for sure especially since nobody talks in like bronze/silver lol
@@GilThunder99 yea it’s awful in ranked. I had 251 damage off drop spot in one of my matches today but didn’t down anyone, one teammate was knocked the other killed all 3. I had only a p2020. Stood next to the box waiting for the teammate to loot his kills. And dude just explodes on me and starts screaming. Dude was like 35-40 years old. Just going berserk because he thought I would take his loot. When I am a very respectful of peoples loot kind of person.
Currently diamond 4. Your videos helped me solo q all the way up here. I’m sure watching your future videos will help me get to masters one day. Thank you guys!!
That first tip though I just started playing apex this season, and was bummed they didn’t have like custom game lobbies or something where you can practice on bots, and I thought the range would just be a waste of time or that the skills wouldn’t translate into the actual game play. But I started trying this and saw huge improvements when I did it regularly
i feel like zone is everything in diamond lobby. those that ignore zone rotation often get hardstuck in d4 unless they have aim that can overcome their lack of strategic decision making (I hit solo queue master). This is why pathfinder is such a great legend for solo queueing, and blood hound is often used for many premade squads in order to scan beacons.
Same goes for the Pro league. Since people know how to fight and kill you HAVE to have the best possible position for your teams survival. So Paths, Valks and, Wraith can bail you out
What’s missing here is teamwork. You can make every right decision position but if teammates do not agree or follow through it will most likely mot end well. So you HAVE to communicate with your team. In my experience the pinging system alone was decent enough to get me to masters, but if you have a mic then even better. DO NOT push a enemy’s without everybody’s approval and keep a strong mindset
Took a long break after season 3 came back in 9 and got plat while Grinding for it. 10 on the edge of plat again, played 50% less but the tips will help!
I've gone from bronze 3 to gold just following this guide, brilliant. In bronze if your just patient and play for endgame, you will win every game. Silver same thing except endgame will have some intense fire fights and now in gold, Definitely subscribing
@@rishabhsinghthakur7174 It's a comment of how bad the ranked system is, you almost couldn't be stuck in gold unless you actually tried, that's how bad the ranked system is.
@@kasperjger2216 and thats the problem, the whole of season 10 i was stuck in gold just because i wanted to play the game and not camp. This season im ratting it out just to escape this gold hellhole and get to plat and try to fight with honour 😂
@@froopnoops4505 ranked isn't pubs. Its a different game unless you're a god. I'm gonna guess that most people don't have a 5kd and solo trios regularly. If that's you then slay out. If not, play smart and look for opportunities. They will come
Plat players hotdrop all the time because most of them dont know hot to actually gain points! :D In all the ranks i had the least fun in platinum tiers 4-1! It is the worst shit ever
I’m platinum 3 as a Watson main and my issue is I am def to aggressive on a champ with no real movement lol I think with these tips I can finally hit diamond this season
Good luck :) You're close! As long as you keep earning Rp or at least limit the amount of times you lose RP (if possible), you'll be fine and you'll get there
@@richbreezy9920 nah he good I’m a Wattson main and I’m aggressive af. He just have to understand Wattson have no mobility and choose his fights wisely and play to her strengths.
My question is this, why is it that people who are in Plat or maybe even in diamond, tend to not really understand the fundamentals of how another team might have to rotate. I played my first match in diamond and I just wanted to slap my forehead. You would think people can at least grasp the basic understanding that if the ring is closing on one end of a tunnel and you run in, if another team want to third party, you're screwed. My teammates wanted to do exactly this...and I refused to follow lol I stayed outside on height, watched, and waited. And sure enough a team tried to trap them inside. I shot a few shots and it sent them running. Of course they didn't go far (and I'm guessing they had mics) because as my teammates came running back to me two of the members from that squad came flying down on our heads from a jump tower and the person I shot at (an Octane) jump pad right on us as well. I can usually tell when a situation can end up badly, but....some people can't....and I find it a bit strange. If I can't find an alternative escape route, I will not usually like to take the route. I've had teammates drop from height for a single kill, only to get stuck down below as ring 3 or 4 is closing in on them with no way of getting away from it. Most people say stick with your teammates...but sometimes they don't make the best choices...I learned this while playing Platinum. And it's literally what helped me get beyond plat 4. My tactic was simple this season. Reach plat as soon as possible to play with Diamond players to examine their playstyle. I did just this and I even had a pred on my team. They spent more time rotating and establishing a good position to hold, third partying, and preparing defensive positions to hold while watching the other teams fight (picking out easy kills). This is when I learned that earning RP does not have to be a struggle and it can be incredibly easy. You just have to be patient and look for opportunities to capitalize on. I love watching people who are good at the game and I'll usually spectate good players to learn from them, just to see what they're doing and figure out why they're doing them.
well said. i took my time to read both comments of yours. and its a good thought. i like to play passive (deal damage from afar before going in to finish the job) thats my playstyle. im currently silver 3, and i'd like to play with you in pubs cos i need someone like u to play with. all these randoms in low elo are something else
Hardstuck diamonds and plat tend to lose the skills that got them there in the first place because the ranked system doesn’t punish you for ruining matches when they have that safety net so they just make really bad decisions.
because the duos refuse if u try to take lead, happens to me everytime i get matched with players of same clan or club, i instantly know they don't give a fk about me so depending on their play style i help them or bail out 3 randoms always better than 1 random and a duo
Oh I'm sure a duo or solo will tell you how stupid you are for not running in sacrificing yourself for them. Had a Valk main give me shit for not helping him recklessly get his 3 kills outside of ring I pinged three times that me and the octane were heading to circle way before then tells me "you didn't ping anything" in the most stoner like voice you can think of. So once we noticed he was done fighting we U-turned and a squad ended up running into me and the octane killing us. This shit is actually almost impossible without a squad. The only way you're climbing diamond is grinding out like 50 games a day ratting for +30 points drives me up the wall
my goal for this season would definitely be master, but solo q is making it really difficult. im currently almost d3 (7650) but with only 17 days left (spent 3 days just going up and down. Just to give a few tips to people in my situation; no, most solo q teammates you get arent any smarter or better than the ones you get/got in plat, so take the same precautions that you did in platinum. play safely and get good loot before you risk fighting, unless youre really confident that you can get a few kp early game. late game kp for solo q players worth much much more than mid game because theres so much more risk going for kp mid game (third parties, poor positioning, no guaranteed kp scaling etc.) other than that i would also recommend getting used to a specific weapon loadout. of course you arent guaranteed any loot so it will vary regardless but generally i try to get a volt, and for longer ranges i either get triple take, flatline, or r301. it really helps that you are comfortable with your weapons, youll be much more confident and do much better. and just as a side note (this might just be me) i used to be really frustrated if i didnt get an assist or my teammates got all or most of the kp in fights, but it really destroys your mentality. just focus on the game, and be happy that youre alive and if you have any kp at all, be happy about that.
I have never played any other fps games until now Apex. I have played it now for 400 hours and I feel like I start little bit understand it more but still it's so hard. I got this season gold rank and that was my goal so I'm happy about that! Next I want to become platinum. I have practiced a lot with Arena and I have played it now much more than Battle Royal. I think it helps me with getting into fights and movement etc. Also in Arena I'm at Gold rank. Next season my goal is to rank up in both!! 😎Someday I will become Master!!
im hardstuck in plat and honestly it doesnt feel like whats holding me from diamond is my movementm, but it is because i play solo only. randoms rarely cooperate or have the same gamplay style so find a team that works together is super rare. also, at this bracket and above, most everyone is playing with a squad, so that makes is almost impossible for a mediocre player to win versus that.
Spam trios, soloQ - it's the best way to improve, soon you will be able to solo your way out of plat. - Cooporating with most people in plat will make you lose anyway. - If you feel your movement is good, try to focus on how to turn a 1v3 into a 1v1v1v1, use the terrain and buildings etc. - Trust me a dedicated team before diamond is a time waste, unless you magically improve at the same rate, someone on the squad will carry majority of games, and he will be held back by the rest.
Honestly you arent hardstuck plat cause you play solo, but merely cause you simply arent good enough. Your average plat player is pretty bad and its fairly easy to solo in plat. But what comes to movement IMO people value movement too highly... Aim and proper decision making is way more important than movement. Theres plenty of pros who dont have good movement but yet they do extremely good.
Master 3 times on console and d2 currently on pc making the final push this weekend to master. Lot’s of good tips in this vid for people looking to climb the rank ladder!
I am at bronce because I didnt play much this season. Server bugs really killed it to long for me. If you could have been champion but your game starts to lag more than ever because of no reason its just frustraiting. But its pretty impressive the moment you realize how much better you became while playing if youre low elo again. I have to say I turn the voicechat off the most times until Im at least gold because I cant take the saltiness in low elo all the time.
Going on the grind is so tough without a good committed team, I made it too Plat 2 in Arenas just solo queuing but haven’t been able to do that in BR. I have friends that enjoy playing the game but to be honest aren’t much help at all. Would really love to get a few solid players to run with and see how high we could get in BR.
I could be for help too if ya want to. I’m a octane main and I’m currently on silver IV. I only play on weekends due to school but I could give a try. What platform do ya play on?
@@kingsquiid4309 if you're UK player i could be part of your squad, i've never really bothered with ranked, but can give it a go! level 500 - Gold rank atm
TBH the only thing stopping me from going another league up is the fact i play only with randoms. None of my former friends/community plays Apex; and i havent made new friends in Apex. My club/clan does not plays at the same time i do.
I just get plat both splits then stop cause I constantly see the pred badge on good and bad players making it not worth it and cause it's time spent not skill to rank up. (I also play ranked cause my skill based matchmaking makes pubs unplayable)
My strong suit is 1v1s I hardly lose them, especially close range. But I often find myself is the situation where I have won my 1v1 but both my teammates lost theirs. Now I’m damaged, trying to thirst and being pushed by 2 dudes. I really don’t know how to handle these situations well. I suppose I should just run but more often than not I get head hunted or 3rd partied. So most games end with me dropping 2 dudes and getting killed by the 3rd.
Literally same bro. I was in diamond the first few seasons solo que but now everyone has a dedicated squad so I'm stuck with potato randoms half the time
The Silver recommendation is bad. If you're just playing passive and hide, you will not improve and hard stuck at gold. I say try to survive yes, but also join safe fights. Try to be the third party that cleans everything up. This way you might not always be the last team to survive, but you will learn so much more then just from hiding.
Didn't really think about Ranked, but have tried and it is slowly helping me with decision making etc, currently on Plat, but would like to reach Diamomd and in future move to the next stage with more practice keep the Grind going everyone 💪 💯
It’s tough. I was hard stuck plat until this split. I had to change strategies for each subdivision. For plat 4, just messed around. Got some rp. plat 3/2, I tried a more drop and get kills then play for placement mentality. When I got plat 1, that’s when the mental game really pushed me. You can do it, play slow and with your team
I was 200 RP away from Masters. And it fucks me up that I was so close and didn´t reach it, because I never was this close again. I was diamond 1 and diamond 2 after, but could not reach it again. It just feels like that I can do it but it also feels like that I will never reach it.
Solo queued through plat well got to plat 1 and got shit teamates again and again they would solo drop, solo push anything to make the win impossible within the first min of the game they did went from plat 1 to plat 4 in 3 hours
A question about hals boot camp. I work 12+ hours daily (6am-6pm) & it seems it's going to be usually in the mornings to afternoon. I'm at all day so would i even be able to use the service? Obviously he won't be available 24/7 . I'm hard stuck diamond D2 but can't advance any higher without huge time investments or actual team mates (solo) .
Bro listen, Pick a main meta legend like gibby octane wraith etc and dont play wattson or shit. I highly recommend u too to do something on your keybinds/Settings especially on controller but having a good Sens is key and having the confidence learn the weapons (recoils) try to Q with a squad and just play thats what u maked good in every game just grinding
Yeah, getting out of D2 is really insane without a good dedicated squad unless you're already cracked and put in a lot of games. There are just too many other 3 stacks that playing solo with randoms puts you at a crazy disadvantage.
lvl 60, never really played this game really until recently, started last week running solos and went from bronze to gold 1, then i realized that i needed a consistent team that actually wanted to win the game, and got to plat 4, still have a a couple weeks left and will try for diamond!
And thets the reason why i Stuck in Plat1 while have no chance to win a fight against a full squad when i have to play with randoms with no aim or when they Landing hotdrop like idiot and die first bc 90% of plat players are in plat for Camping and no Team play
You got it bro! I just reavhed plat this morning. The strat I used was landing at a spot with atleast one squad or landing close to hot drop so I can loot and then go towards hot drop fights to pick people off. After that just rotate around to the best position and get to top 5. Easily get to plat.
My advice, if ur team hotdrops leave em, if they wanna fight an unwinnable fight cause of a 3rd party leave em, pick ur fights carefully especially when u reach plat
This was me this season, and I totally believe in you! Ive been playing since late S7 and got serious on improvement S8. Im confident you’ll be able to reach plat!
Solo queued to Masters playing on the weekends only. Lemme tell you, shit it torture 😂. Best tip I have to improve your skills is to be confident and try and take control of your squad (be the IGL) but when you fuck up you need to recognize why and learn not to. It'll be tough because you'll have plenty of tms who won't have comms or will purposefully not listen to you. Just persevere and keep leading, it's what made me a good IGL imo. 10% win rate and 30% top 5 placement isn't bad I think 🤷🏻♂️
Solo queued my way to Masters in the first half of the split using Caustic (ps4) and no mic. But it honestly seems impossible to get to Pred without a team. With that said, ima shoot for Pred this next half. One of my big problems is I don't have enough time. Probably get in about 1 hour every other day on this game
this video doesnt mention what to do when your team hot drops in gold, does no damage and dies i get stuck ratting more than playing the game. when i play with a buddy of mine i have no problem getting rp, but when i play solo my teammates literally just die, yell in the mic and spam ping. i really feel like if youre good at the game but dont care to be the best you have to find people to play with because when i get killed by diamond players that 1v2 my teammates every game it just gets old and boring.
Been running into the same issue. All they want to do is hot drop die right off of spawn and don't understand when it is not a good idea to take a fight. The last two game I had before I got off both wanted to rotate though pit. I push around to the outside and watched both get beamed by a snipe and die. Then left to rat to at least get the RP cost back.
Use Crypto, Pick their banners back up. Respawn them in a place with another team and kill one or two of them as they murder your teamates. Hide and repeat
Hey loved the video man, could u do a arenas version of this video I'm currently in gold and I stopped playing ranked because when I solo join my team mates don't pull their weight at all and a lot of the time one team mate disconnects from the game. So I would really appreciate it if u gave some advice
Well crafted, easy to understand, & definitely useful vid. Well done friend 👍 You sounded like a really good coach especially at that last part. Appreciate it😅🤘
Man I need a squad. I've been plat every season an diamond twice all randoms. Which sux cuz most the time ur teammates hotdrop die then ping banner over n over. I learned how to finish fights fast but I need to get better choosing my fights.
I need a dedicated squad, I'm gold 2 and my teammate that said he was gonna grind to plat and he's gold 3 left the game yesterday cause he wanted to play warzone, needless to say I'm still gold 2 and split was yesterday Edit: I'm back in silver 1 so I guess it's easier but there are still some gold 1's and plat 4's in my lobby
I stopped playing around season 2 but now i feel like its a whole new game since its season 11 and im sitting there getting 1 or 2 kills per game, still trying though and gonna keep grinding
experienced my first diamond match today lol I was super curious to see if the skills were off the wall. It's safe to say I felt like I was getting the teammates that just so happened to rank up from Plat. Yet it felt like the enemies were super Saiyans XD I guess at this point a lot of people are playing with premade squads and communicating. It will be tough to solo if everyone isn't on the same page

only my second season on apex, well my first full season started mid season 9, this has alot of helpful tips, i managed to get plat 4 in first half of s10 split gonna aim for higher plat now
Nah just practice put in the work and stay calm, i basically solo'd to diamond this split, A squad is helpful but choose people who have the same mind set as you or else your going to be losing more than gaining. Dont rat games out that doesnt help you improve try to take early game fight and take it slow mid game, end game all depends on the legend choices and how many squads are left. ALWAYS remember, it doesnt matter how many points you lose 1 win will get those points all back
I got to diamond for the first time in season 10 split 1 and then split 2 I didn’t play much because my duo had a very special exam so since he finished now me and him aspire to get to masters next season. For some reason I don’t do well solo queueing but when I queue with him I make him exceed his limit and he makes me exceed my limit.
My main issue is thinking. I have nades but dont use them. Tactile but don't press Q. My aim is bad to but try to be more aware of what you have and what you can do before you pick fights.
I always hit diamond playing solo here in Brazil, cant reach any further, playing on 60hz, and without team. Also, lobby here have a huge problem, platinum and above you will most have 60% chance to have pred in your lobby...
I'm not a very competitive player, but this season I decided to play the rank I'm about to reach platinum for the first time and for the first time I'm doing the season at more than 1K/D and I think I have enough skills to reach diamond, but I'm afraid I'll get demolished too often and start to hate the game. I love the game and I don't want to start hating it, but I want to feel better and more skilled than before.
Never taken ranked seriously or even played ranked much. Curious to see what rank I can reach. Last time I tried for a few games got gold. Stopped after not being able to have a set squad , commutation etc..
I have 1 of the worst internet possible, I get tons of no regs and tons of movement delays (getting down while already in a hidden spot for 2 to 3 seconds, while on the enemy player's screen im still running) I was able to reach Plat for the past 6 seasons, now im finally ranking up to diamond for the first time and i gotta say, if i can reach Diamond, you can reach Predator
Made it to Plat 1 finally by changing my character to Valk and always landing on a beacon and rotating to the deadside of the ring early, choosing a solid building and locking it down. Only problem has been freaking terrible teammates 😭 the amount of rat games ive had to play because they did stupid pushes and got beamed or cant hit a single shot. Platinum is just as bad as gold
Oh I feel you so much on that. I literally keep going up to diamond then falling down to plat immediately because of bad randoms who are basically that stereotype of 'monkey see monkey do', all they do is push and then die and spam ping their banner till I can't hear anything and then I die too and I get -80 something points.
Have hit masters a few times, solo queuing. Honestly wouldn’t consider myself hard stuck as I can gain RP in the top lobbies, but the amount of time necessary to do so is so insane. There are literally people who do nothing else in life but grind apex…and it makes me wish there was a slightly different system for ranked that didn’t just reward the players for grinding the most. Not saying they aren’t great, and I don’t necessarily have an answer for this problem. Just wish I had the time to hit pred and I know I never will.
I usually stop at Plat, not gonna be bothered with advanced moving mechanics. I have been ducking at making my shots keeping me stuck at gold 1 for to long
i just started this game and i was wondering if they gonna introduce those kill counts u see before the game starts but for melee because i love to punch people
I have a tips, try and get used to play solo or duo, people sometimes dumb enough to quit the match, sometimes two of them just leave other time its just one of them, try to get used get disadvantage.
I went from Plat4 to Diamond in a week. This is my first time hitting diamond and tbh, the key to Diamond is early kp, try to claim a God spot and afk to get the multiplier going
