When should you give your poodle puppy it’s first big hair cut?

When you shear a puppy, go with the hair growth, not against it. Use a blade that is a bit longer. Their skin is very sensitive, so you have to use a longer blade with the hair grain for a while until their skin gets used to it. Then you can gradually go to a lower, and lower blade, and eventually go against the hair growth.
