Try putting the cuttings straight into small pots with growing medium, with a lamp above or simply outside with a dome above so they are in a humid environment. I promise you they will take root.
@@user-vu3gr8vt4v a ziploc bag works aswell. Just mist the bag with water and put it in the sun. air it out or put it in shade during a heat wave though
Very cool video. I feel like I just learned so much. Thanks for sharing your method. Its crazy hot here in Jersey, so I cant imagine how hot it must be in Florida. That bell pepper looks sooo delicious!!! Seed saving is definitely the way to go👍🏾
You said that the bee comes along and the fruit from that flower will be a cross. Not always in fact most of the time if you live in an area with regular good breeze, or you give the branch a good shake fairly often huge majority of the time self pollinated. The way the flower is designed self pollinisation is the norm.
Thank you! This video was so helpful! New gardener here and I have one bell pepper plant thriving with leaves and finally producing fruit. Should I wait to cut branches off or doesn’t matter when I do this? Excited to try this method.
@@caribbeanspice1693 thanks! I just cut off a few branches today. How often should we change the water and do you only use the rooting powder the first time or every you change the water ? Thanks!
I always have a large bountiful garden BUT my bell peppers always seem to struggle,,some say i plant them too deep ,,,whats the proper way to plant the new plants..
I have a bell pepper plant that fell over and it was left that way for a while so it started to grow from the bottom of the stalk looks like new pepper plants growing from the stalk. what should I do with it? I want to try to get some peppers from it.
I have a pepper plant that overwintered and it’s starting to grow new leaves. But there’s a few branches that have no leaves. Can I cut those off and root them? Will it hurt my plant?
