This is very clever to use the locking stitch markers so you can do it on the already cast on row.

I got my pattern yesterday, and I have to start at the beginning with my calculations. I have a worsted weight yarn similar to Cascade 220. It's a nice color and I've wanted to use it for a while. I already have a decent size swatch that I did for another project that didn't pan out.

Thank you so much for your class, which I have started. I tried to do an Ann Budd pullover raglan and I got two hundred feet over my head and I was running out of air! I still need to figure out how to do a crew neck pull over, but my guess is that your ITAG cardigan will get me through my confusion.

Ann Budd's The Knitter's Handy Book of Sweater Patterns, is bottom up and has many types of necklines. Also, Shirley Paden's Knitwear Design Workshop is very valuable.

The instructions are in the book confusing to me. I am trying to knit the child size raglan using the instructions on page 64 through to page 65 where it says then increase 8 sts every 4th row and then at the same time working the following number of rows after the WS set up rows. Please could somebody explain this further. Thank you very much.

This video is very helpful. I am confused by why you’re knitting stitches the cable graph says to purl. You said why briefly but I can’t follow. Would you mind elaborating? Much appreciated!
@SuzanneBryan
@SuzanneBryan 2 года назад
Because I am working a wrong side row, therefore the stitches on the chart that are purls will be worked as knits and the knits will be purled. Thanks so much for a great question!

HI Suzanne . I'm following step by step with you on the Ann Budd book you recommended me a couple of years ago and have no clue how to use it. I stumble into your website and really thankful you are using the book to teach.I like the neckline on page 99 of the book btu not as big and no as low. Please help me how to alter the stitches to accomplice my project. Much thanks,
@SuzanneBryan

Is what you are wanting is a crew neck? On page 232 she describes neckline finishes. Also, all of the basic patterns are with a crew neck. Check my prior answer to your second question, as I give you some resources to check.

Hi! First of all, I really really like your videos and channel. I've been consuming them left and right since I found your channel. I am a subscriber! The reason I'm commenting here is because I have this book, and I'm trying to follow the crew neck style instructions. This video helped me CO, by the way. Huge thanks! However, on page 77, I'd appreciate your eyes.. the instructions seem incomplete.. the very bottom section of the page that begins with, "At the same time after working the foll number of rows after the WS set-up row (if the number is zero, omit these rows)" what do you do with those stitches? It reads like an incomplete sentence to me! I realize it's not part of your KAL, but, short of contacting the author, I don't know where else to turn for advice! Thank you in advance!! -Joseph
@SuzanneBryan
@SuzanneBryan 2 года назад
If the number is zero, you do not have those stitches to begin with, you can just skip over this direction and go to the next.

Hi Suzanne, I purchased the book and am trying to learn how to do the schematics. I don't know what numbers I'm supposed to decide by what other numbers! I'm so lost till its a joke! Is there any way that you can point me in the right direction as how to learn how to do schematics? I'm a visual learner and having someone tell me to read a book is not going to work for me. I'm in the New Orleans area and I can find no knitters in my area that could help me with learning how to do this. Any suggestions? Or could you do a slower video on how to do this and how to come up with the right numbers?
@SuzanneBryan
