Great video! I'm a complete python newbie, however, I look forward to attempting this and some of the other projects to come! As a Medsci undergrad, it's exciting to explore the real-world applications of coding in healthcare/medicine. I'd love to branch out!

I complted my college with no knowledge in coding bt now I wish to learn coding hlp!

Greetings from Denmark! - looking forward to the series Chris. PS would you suggest learning linear algebra for getting into machine learning? /3rd year med-student

Hey Ziko! Hope all's good in Denmark, hello from London! Yes, I think the four areas of maths to brush up on would be linear algebra, multivariate calculus, probability and statistics. The depth you go into depends on how seriously you want to take the machine learning stuff. If you're still early on, I would try taking a course (like Andrew Ng's Machine Learning course on Coursera), and then just learn the algebra you need to follow the course via Brilliant/Khan academy. I've written some blogs at the bottom of this page with suggested resources and approaches to learning: chrislovejoy.me/tag/machine-learning/ Hope that helps!

@@ChrisLovejoy Thanks for the answer and resources! I'll definitely check out Andrew Ng's course :) - your website is also very helpful.

thanks a lot for such an informative video ... i have a problem coding a Triage sort calculator, i would be so delighted if you can help if you have time. i am obviously missing a piece of info . i have entered 4 ( if ) commands for 4 categories of respiratory rate and when i run the code the program obliges me to put in values for the RR more than one time .. any tips on how to avoid that ??? thanks alot

Hello! Just a question, why did you separate each cell? Would it make a difference in the code if you grouped it all into one cell? Thanks :)
@ChrisLovejoy
@ChrisLovejoy 3 года назад
just for educational purposes - so you can see exactly what each cell is doing. code will run exactly the same if all joint together

Great tutorial. Once I have the python code, how would I actually deploy it, say on a website? Place it into a codeblock? Tx for the amazing content!
