This is such a wonderful format for learning! I love the fact that we can see your face and your work at the same time. Also helpful to have color names and other info pop up on screen as needed. Thank you for the time you put in here! Super helpful!!
Your art is outstanding amazing and what I strive to achieve. But do you have advice on how to blend glow with the base colour, like say if you had to mix the yellow glow in with the purple, this is what my brain cant comprehend. Im doing a drawing where a red glow has to blend with a browny black undertone that will be a jacket and i dont know how to do it???
All that kind of blending is what I teach in How To Use Colored Pencils Like A Pro in the Academy: www.itseasytodraw.com It's a HUGE can of worms. Not a one-liner tip sort of thing.
That's because your vision is probably not specified. We tend to have visions in a form of moods, not details. Do you actually spell out things like "I will have an 80% dark background in blues and a pale light in peach" or something like that? Chances are you don't. This is why having reference photography and illustration is the way to narrow down your vision. When your vision is cast in stone and isn't just a mood, you can follow through. When coloring fantasy scenes like this, do some visual research first, and work off 3 to 5 inspiration pieces. Or, in case of something like this, you have my colors to copy.
@@its-easy-to-draw Thank you, Lisa. You're the best!!! This helps tremendously. Loving TALM too! If you guys haven't been on her club website, you have got to check it out! What others crank out and share is short of amazing! Try it I totally GUARANTEE you will love it. Lisa's classes are amazing too. I just have so much homework now that I can't get to it just now. I've watch the first session of Colors and working on the color wheel and homework there.
a great tutorial, but my pencils dont seem to be blending at all just sitting on top of each other. Do i need to work on technique or maybe get some better paper?
Come join my art academy It's Easy To Draw. www.itseasytodraw.com I teach A LOT of blending techniques there. All courses have free preview lessons. I recommend starting with How To Use Colored Pencils Like A Pro for blending techniques.
