Really really beautiful work, you’re the man Qazi! After moving to the blackmagic family of cameras and switching from premiere to resolve your channel has been the single most important resource for learning the resolve color grading process. I can’t thank you enough for all the tips, tricks and thought processes.LEGEND👊🏻
do we have that glow in premiere pro in anyway? Actually I am more comfortable in editing in Premiere pro. So I learn and apply your color grading techniques in Premiere pro as much as I can.
Hey Qazi, you're really down to earth and your process is really clean and understandable, love it and thanks for putting it out there for those trying to learn how to grade in resolve, really appreciate it 🤞🏽 If it's possible you should try to break down Parasites color grade, there's just something about the colors thats eerie and foreshadows the tone of the movie
Can you make a video on just the skin tones? And if its better with paralel node or layer node? And how keying works in each! I really love the way you explain things!! Thank you!!
Cannot get layer mixer working.. Set it up EXACTLY like you did, but no change is seen in the output, changing any of those 3 nodes. What am I doing wrong? Other than that, sick tutorial! Learning so much from this.
Very detailed and full of information. The only problem in the music video is that nurse's acting, that kept a smile on her face in the beginning but that's not what we can fix in post haha. Cheers Brother.
Love your videos! The biggest question I have is when to use log wheels over primary wheels especially when you can mask out a certain area you're working with.
Insanely good content again Qazi! I was also just wondering how you would have a client send you the prores file if there were dissolve transitions baked into the footage? How would you go about colour grading that? Thanks again!
Thanks. Got a whole lesson on it and a Module in my masterclass to show you all the different ways to attack it. waqasqazi.podia.com/freelance-colorist?coupon=spring
Hi Waqas!! very cool, really beautiful work. One cuestion, it would be interesting to show an image with a pan or tilt in the same cut, it is very difficult for me to make corrections in cuts like this. thanks.
Hey, great content as always ! Would you be able to explain a bit of your setup please ? Looking to upgrade to a Mac Pro, so i'm curious about your configuration and maybe I/O card (decklink ?), etc. Thanks for the knowledge your sharing !
Hey man really love your work!! I have a question tho, I bought a color calibrator but it seems like my colors are still a bit of on different screens. I use a IPS Panel Dell Alienware AW3418DW a $1000,- monitor. How do you deal with this?
anyone know how to create that before/after color grading breakdown pause effect that he uses in his all tutorial, like first he shows the log footage then pause then one by one color grading layers and then play with final look, how to do that in davinchi resolve if anyone know help me please
Come in edit panel... And put ur raw footage on top and graded footage under that.... And put a crop key in raw footage..... U can check my insta profile @filmmakermoinkhan
I absolutely love this tones man...and this channel at all! I have watched each of your videos like 3-4 times, while taking notes.. Ofc, i have 2 question, that i am struggling with: 1. what should i do first - do the skin tones, then the "'look'' and then bring back the skin tones creating parallel node and connect it with the "skin" node, then keying it a litle, or the opposite - First create the look and then bringing the skin tones back? 2. While working with skin tones is it absolutely necessary to qualified them, or i can adjust them, using R curve, or hue vs.? Regards from Bulgaria
This is where you can benefit a lot from the masterclass because its much more than a comment to understand what needs to happen in different situations. waqasqazi.podia.com/freelance-colorist?coupon=spring
Have you done any demos with blackmagic pocket cinema 4K footage in BRAW? I think a lot of indie filmmakers are using these cameras because of the price point and image quality, I’d love to see that.
there are videos on my channel that were shot on bmp4k also I have a whole module in my masterclass that take you through bmd and bunch of other cameras and how to best use them. 2 days left to sign up bit.ly/2YGHMJO
Hey Qazi! awesome video! so much great info! Thank you so much! Quick question, do you ever rely on the skin tone line on the vectorscope to bring back skin tones? i feel like i'm always trying to keep skin tones on that line and maybe sometimes you should just let the skin match the lighting even if it's not "natural". Thanks!
thanks. at this point I don't rely on the skin tones line. Those are the training wheels great for starting out but eventually you gotta move past that.
Hey guys... Its very hard for me to select skin with HSL qualifier ... Whenever i try i stuck somewhere. I can't pick it clean properly. Plz Tell me if u have solutions ☹️
