For the gate you have to pass during gathering Intel, go across the left road and drive next to the rocks with the motorcycle and you can get to the radio tower a minute faster. It's a riskier strategy since there's a couple guards and a jeep you'll need to watch out for but feels satisfying when you learn how to pull it off.
Also, if u mess it up to much and u run out of bikes u can use a car too, to do it go to the same place, get speed as close to water as possible to avoid the brick bushes and aim for the part of the cliff that has like a black patch and u should make it, also, since some cars fit 4 ppl its even more worth it for the guys with friends, hope i was clear
Pretty good guide! Also cute dog :P Couple more time saving tips: In the scope out, you can use a bike to jump past the guard checkpoint using the rocks to the left, like others have said. Also, as soon as you scope the primary target on the cameras, you can hit 'find new session' to instantly warp back to Kosatka. No need to go back to the plane. The game marks the scope out as done as soon as you see the main target. It's possible to stealth the skyscraper weapons prep with a suppressed weapon and headshots. You only need to kill the guy next to the front desk, the two guys near the telescope, and the guy behind the desk with the laptop. The guys in the office can't see very far. On plasma cutter prep, you can photograph the board from across the room. No need to walk to it. Heck, on one of the two spawns, you can do it from the door :P On cutting torch, if you get the Mile High Club construction site, you can fly to the skyscraper's roof directly. No need to use the elevator to get up there. Also it's easier to just blow up all the enemies with missiles VS trying to get the construction hat on that one. In the finale, if you want to use the Longfin to get to the drainage tunnel, it's faster to use the Main Dock entry. North Dock is a pretty good entry for Longfin too though. There is a guaranteed guard disguise at one of 4 locations at the north dock, which makes moving around the island super easy and fast. Also north dock has 3 loot warehouses. One of the warehouses technically needs 2 people to get into it, but if entering with Longfin the gate is bugged and stays open if you use the lever, so 1 person can get into that stash anyway. Also if you don't find enough loot at north dock, the main dock is on the way and has 3 more loot warehouses. For getting inside compound, you can use grappling hooks, cargo truck disguise, kill dudes outside compound till you find pass code, or just jump off cliff and use drainage tunnel if all else fails. After you exit the compound, you can jump off the peninsula to the south and simply swim away to finish the heist. No, really :P Really fast exit if you filled your loot bags before entering the compound. I regularly finish the finale in 8-10 minutes using North Dock Longfin entry, taking disguise at north dock, then looting north dock (and main dock if needed), heading into compound (usually truck or passcode method), taking main target, then jumping off the south peninsula after exiting compound.
for the skyscraper stealth one, i realized that if the guards below the building dont get alerted, you can do it stealthily by going through the roof if you have an oppressor or any helicopter. i also dont think you need a suppressed weapon, i just use a normal AP pistol and it works fine
When using the longfin better first go to airport / docks and fill up with secondary loot ( when playing solo ) when playing with help inside compound first get secondary loot aswell... you will be much faster because of easier guard spawns.... when leaving the compound go to the left of the map..... walk of cliffs ( not jump ! sometimes it will kill you ) put on rebreather and dive/swim away.... you will be able to do full heist ( even solo ) much faster then.... with help maybe down to 8-9 min
24:15 you don’t actually need to walk to the planning board, just pull out your phone as soon as it spawns you inside and take a picture and it will count
If you're doing the Longfin approach, you might consider setting your arrival point as Main Dock then diverting directly to the airstrip as soon as you start the mission. From there, clean out the secondary loot, THEN get back on the longfin and head around the island to the drainage tunnel. (Or, if you're more comfortable, get the secondary loot from the main dock area.) Once you do the compound stuff, you can just run straight out the back gate all the way to the water and swim to the mainland.
The Cayo Perico heist itself is not terribly hard. However, getting accidentally caught while doing the Gather Intel mission… god there is no worse feeling.
from the Services* you can have only one active at the same time... so to call your MOC put Kosatka in storage and then call MOC.... but you can't deliver the Longfintrailer using the MOC truck, drive it yes... but at the end it won't deliver * Avenger / MOC / Terrorbyte / Kosatka
Rockstar makes you fly the Velum across the whole map in Cayo's scope out because of how people played the casino heist's scope out mission. To explain, if you get cash in the casino heist, you're better off cancelling the heist and paying the $25K again to hopefully get art or gold instead. Art and gold make you tons more money, and you only need 2 people to get all the loot in the vault. So people would keep repeating the scope out over and over again until they didn't get cash. Thus, Rockstar purposefully made Cayo's scope out long and annoying to discourage players from cancelling/repeating the scope out to get better target loot.
Funny I knock these out pretty quick, make use of killing myself, lobby switching, optimal routes, use sparrow, spawn in my own phantom wedge, etc. Always get end part done in under 15 mins. Somehow still takes me an hour and half.
Pro tip: If you park your sub close to merryweather hq then start your weapon loadout, it won't give you that one, it'll start up the penris/707 Vespucci ones every single time
Tip if the guards are alerted: Don't worry about secondary money targets. Either jump, or yeet a vehicle off the island (directly left out of the front gate), dive as deep as possible and swim away underwater. Make sure to put on re-breathers. Tons easier than dieing a dozen times trying to escape by plane and getting the air defenses down. I somehow alerted the guards (i have the video clip, nobody was near and i was in El Rubio's office while spotted somehow) and i discovered that as the easiest out. Set up and strategy in the video is amazing, but if things go south in the compound, yeet yourself underwater to the left while exiting the front gate👍🏼
When you're doing the Longfin setup mission, there are two sets of truck cabs that spawn. One location has two cabs together on the minimap. The other location has only one cab by itself. The one that has only one cab is a phantom wedge. You don't have to buy one, as long as you don't mind doing a little extra driving and shooting.
Your Dog didn't bother, i mean for that sound you shared. Perhaps there is some behavioral stuff going on rather then your "Dog wanting to mess up your session". I have a dog from the shelter, challenges me aF, but yeah take it easy you guys, stay calm! ;)
The dodo is useful for the MC missions, it would be nice if it was a bit faster though lol. Using those really fast and agile planes for hanger missions suck. I had to buy a slower plane/jet for certain missions
What I do is soon as I get outside the compound I killed the first guy take his motorcycle and go to the left far right corner drive the bike in the water and I swim to the landing strip and I hit those two warehouses it’s full loot everytime and you make the elite time and after that I just swim to the submarine it’s like 14 minutes 50 seconds it’s close but you still make it in time
hey droodles, some tips for u : 1. during intel gather, its faster to jump with ur dirt-bike past 1st checkpoint on the cayo island. The jump's possible from the left side of the checkpoint, the small hills/mounds can be used as a ramp....u just have to do a front-wheelie right b4 u hit the ramp to make the dirt-bike jump across that 1st checkpoint. 2. also, after scouting the loot(s) thru cctv, just set ur spawn location to kosatka & change session. That way u can save a lot of time as u skip thru lots of needless content. Blows my mind you scope the secondary locations during the hiest and not during the gather intell in the beginning where you have plenty of time to do so. It would save you so much hassle. I enjoy your guides but choices like this make everything i watched questionable. If your on xbox i would love to show you how to do it faster and with more efficiency

It’s 10k one time to move the sub it’s 2k after that everytime but you can do it for free by being near where you want it and requesting it if you wanna save money
I lost track of how many times I tried doing my first attempt at this heist. I am sick of my failure. does not help that the devs give us zero time to try to look information up.
My dude, at ~ 37:06 that's one of the most genius observations about this heist. I've been so abused, driven to insane brain rot from the absolute nonsensical grindfest of GTA, my goopy gamer brain hasn't ever considered that. Even if you got the trade price for the longfin, or heck 50% of the trade price selling it to a fence since the longfin is stolen, that would make so much more sense compared to robbing Rubio's never ending resupplies of giant pink diamonds, diamond encrusted tequila bottles, panther statues, and bearer bonds.. just.. why rockstar? .. why? 😢 Oh yeah, shark cards.. R*s love of torturing and boring their most dedicated non-glitching/modding/haxor, rule abiding fans to death. Dunno how that slipped my mind for even a minute.
the people that watch videos on RU-vid tend to click on videos like "make $3 million / Hr" ... but this video shows the playtime in realtime, and I too can respect that much more indeed
I just can’t seem to get passed the gather intel, i keep getting caught. I go where you say to go, but a guard is there, but its not for you? Do you know why? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Glad to see you do this vid lol, I've been wondering how you do the setups. We definitely take slightly different approaches - and just to put it out there, an alternative strategy for the Longfin that will shave a bit more time from your runs - rather than suicide, make a beeline for the La Mesa police station (which you drove by anyways). Directly across the street, in between the two pillars, you can drive the truck in and drop directly onto the tracks. Run along those until you have the grating above you, there's just a line of niches in there on the right. Park up on the right (there me be a train on the left side tracks come along), hop out, run down the tracks and take cover in the third niche you encounter. That gives enough time for the wanted level to go away, jump back in the truck and follow the tracks and you get dumped out like a hundred yards from the drop-off. Even if you do the suicide thing, that is easily the quickest route to the drop-off. I also prefer to take the extra three minutes or so to scope out Cayo and find two cokes in the coastal spawn points. Adds three minutes to the intel gathering but adds a hundred grand to the total so I feel like it's worth it. And I know it is WAY faster to switch sessions if you get Merryweather HQ in the weapons loadout, but it is just SO much fun to launch a missile and kill the chopper lol! One last time saver you might consider - grab a fully upgraded assault shotgun with a silencer on it and an extended mag. You will be amazed at how much faster and better it is during the setups.
9:50 If you are beginning and doing this buy a jet from warstock first or at least save up for one. You don't have to follow merryweather's chopper. You just fly up to it then you fly to 1 of 4 locations and they are all towards sandy shores. ones to the left of the prison. (all of these are in parking lots except 1) Another is by the big cylinders north on the freeway by the diamond casino and humane labs. There is another in grapeseed and the airport in grapeseed . If you keep lock on missiles equipped they will target when you get close. Kill everyone on the ground and then wait for the chopper. Destroy that as well (before it sees you if your on the ground) because its using explosive ammo the second your seen lol. Other than that its a straight forward after that. I usually do that mission or the longfin last because they take the most bullets. But considering it pays the most it will be the most done therefore switching it up from time to time kills the monotony a bit.
as a friendly tip, your can take my advise or not. but i prefer to go the opposite direction when you enter el rubios compound and go up on the roof. you can then proceed to kill the guard below the main tower/ elevator room. To make sure he doesn’t get spotted you kill the guard by the gate, then go up top. Kill that guy and proceed to get the secret vault and elevator. u can then do the sewage hack if u want to but if i go down elevator i just go back up. there’s a little jump up by the left gate when you leave the tower to go to the exit if you don’t get gate keys. For secondary targets it’s up to u, but i hope u take this advise because i think it could help improve your or cayo time and make it easier to get elite challenge when you get use to it. The snacks you get when using the D pad are random I always use sprunk and ecola..... and if you fill up on any snack other than soda they automatically give you sprunk....seems to me sprunk is still being forced on us
I'd never thought to simply reload into a new lobby to get rid of the Merrywether weapons setup when I'm playing solo. I've been wasting time blowing up the MW helicopter with my guided missiles to intentionally fail the mission. I think you just saved my next character loads of time and a couple million dollars. Nice one.

@@minthouse6338 You take secondary loot first and in the coumpaund you just run left on the top of the stairs right by the pool in the office get the main target out the doors on the first bike left by the heli head in too the wather and swim. Thas 7-8 min heist. Sorry for bad englis.
I use the fast travel with the sub and get closer to the location of the plane then take sparrow to it and send it back to sub when land. Done cayo last few days and I'm a new pc player and already habe over 10mil ! Love doing cayo !

I Always Use Longfin Boat, It’s Fastest To Get Coke Loot From Airstrip. Try It Mr Scr3wed Time Waiting Cut Setups & Costs Us Hours Waiting To Do It Again, Started Using Longfin.lol.
Do you know to fix the Black loading screen problem when you’re going into Cayo Perico Are usually get that the first time going there and I have to leave the session and do it all over again then I will get inside Cayo Perico
In the cuting torch prep when you have to take the photo you dont need to walk to the board just take the photo as u spawn inside the building and it will count also take a few steps forward after the photo the get out faster and yeah, just pull out the camera, dont need to zoom or move the angle, just take the photo in the default position and ez
After watching this video. I realize now that I been royally screwing myself by not buying the dam kosatka and been grinding the dam Mc businesses like an idiot for nickels and dimes. Haven’t played this game since ps3 so I definitely missed allot. Thanks for the guide man. Now I gotta grind my businesses to get that 2 mil for the sub .

Owning a Phantom Wedge probably shaves 10 more minutes off, as you can spawn right next to you. it’s totally worth buying and will pay for itself quickly
What I don't understand is why some people are complaining Rockstar hurt money grinding by nerfing the Oppressor Mk2. Throughout the entire video, not once did I see Pooborama use a Mk2. All some people want to do is complain about nothing.
I believe he does not even own that bike yet on that account... but yes people like to complain way too much... "Everything is so expensive" but this video proofs that making 1.5 mill per hour (or more) is no fantasy ... compare that to 2013.... Adder ( super car ) costs 1 million... and making money goes over missions that pay 25-35k max .... now THAT was a grind. "R* wants us to buy sharkcards" ... well yes and no.. yes buy one if you don't really want to play the game but want have the most expensive stuff... OR .... just play the game , buy / invest smart etc "Vehicle X is overpowered" ... it is what players do with it that is overpowered , too many players just see GTA online as Fortnite getting kills on players... btw that kind of player ussaly also complain about everything costing too much etc... ahwell
@@pieterpeeters7504 I saw a comment from someone he is happy making 10 million over a few days on Cayo. As for Sharkcards, nothing in the game is forcing people to buy them. If Rockstar really wanted to force people, they would make it mandatory to buy a card in order to go online and then it wouldn't work in their favor. Most players would rather quit GTAO than be forced to pay.
@@minthouse6338 I don't think R* is pushing microtransactions , even tho they are there... both Sharkcards and GTA+ ... but why spend real money to get some fake cash in a game buy stuff and get bored quickly... I am glad that in the 2 titles I play from R* ( Red Dead online and GTA online ) it is possible to play yourself to the "top" without being forcefed into paying more then just the purchase of the actual game. In several other titles I play those microtransactions are much MUCH worse... locking some content bonusses behing microtransactions.. giving people the option to buy speed increases in ranking etc... not my cup of tea... I like to play a game. But a lot of players actually buy Sharkcards ( or gold in Red Dead ) , R* has a good / steday income over those.. and ofcourse now they added GTA+ for PS5 / Xbox and that will come to PC too I guess.. just hope that R* won't put anything behind GTA+ that actually give players big advantages... imagine GTA online where you can only own MKII bike with a monthly subscription... then only the 12 year-olds with mommy's credit card will be using those... oh well.. that is now aswell ;)
@@minthouse6338 just to add.... players on consoles allready pay to play online... both PS and Xbox can't play onlinegames ( all of them ) without the + - thingie.... insane paying several times to play online... first internet connection... then for some subscription ( on Playsyation it used to be called PS+ ) and to be secure a VPN service
@Pooborama you can take out the guards for the first mission silently by shooting the door open and killing the first guy (ignore the guy on the right). make your way through the hallway closest to the weapons and kill the 2 guys talking and finally kill the one by the computer. from then on you dont need to kill anyone else and risk dying hope that helps
