It definitely is a game changer when it comes to nightscapes or any low light photography! But I am afraid it cannot be used with the Focus Magnifier... Let me know if otherwise!
The slow blurry refresh rate makes it very difficult to compose and focus if you're handheld which causes constant blurred frames due to movement. On a tripod its more useful because the image has a chance to stabiliser.
