Favorite part of this is that you've got guys and gals of different build, size, and experience working together and on each other. And it looks like they are automatically adjusting power, speed, and intensity on the fly. Superb drill and coaching.
I really love this! Please give us more content like this where it’s drills or moments from your classes. Don’t give us EVERYTHING of course, but snippets like this are gold
invite Gabriel Varga to your upstate karate school WB it would be really amazin to watch you two light spar. Gabe is a really acomplished Martial arts RU-vidr content creator like you, we need a collab.
I remember seeing Wonderboy for the first time on an undercard back in 2012. After hearing he had a background in Taekwondo, I remember saying to myself “I wanna follow this guy’s career”. I have to tell you, it’s been an awesome experience watching Wonderboy develop and stay consistent over the years.
You’re one of my favorites, sir. Just a lover of martial arts and willing to share it in a genuine and humbling manner. It’s always fun to watch you fight.
I remember when i was doing kyokashin we would stand in a circle and by order every one goes around and gives low kicks and punches to the body to every one else, it was brutal and at the first two monthes i was basically blue from all the marks😅
Love these videos about Upstate Karate and Pitch Black and seeing your pupils having fun and learning from the best. Really inspires me to want to do better and learn from you and sweet t and papa ridgehand! Can you make a video that shows more of your school, facilities and maybe what it'd be like for someone like me to drive from out of state to train for a few weeks at a time? Thank you and Sweet T as always for the amazing, warmth, love and enthusiasm you put into your content!
3:15-3:30? That was the super-secret karate sauce everyone was making a big deal about in the 90's "authentic" karate schools. Its great to be alive in a time where you could just see a technique like that on a YT video basically for free. Even after all these years, it still gets to me, hah. If you're a Gen X martial artist, I'm sure you can relate.
Awesome content wonderboy. I'm right up i26 from you, outside Asheville. Your an inspiration to many my friend. God bless and good luck on your next fight
Always amazing/informative content. Love the knowledge. Some fighters til this day, don't understand how important conditioning their overall body is. Great intensity too btw. I was in Simpsonville from Bama in Sept., and I wish I knew I could have come by. Would be cool to train or even just watch WB coach/train. In the next video I'd like to see counters while being pressured, strength/mobility
in my gym we don't have pads we just throw kick into our partner and for the hand combo he block them with his gloves when i just start training it was so hard
All this time. Savate. Blindfolds. Icy Mike first to wear him down. Full body armor (pads). Um.... Eggs. All this time. Yet all Sensei Seth had to do was say : Bro, conditioning. Now is your time. Unleash Hell!!!! 😁😁
It sucks cause your training is way better than the karate around me. I remember day one a guy did a spin ridge hand at me. I did a side kick cause it was so slow. That technique is for close quarters. Your mix in training gets me jealous.
That guy in the green is definitely new. It was hard to watch him take those kicks at times with the way he was blocking and his stiffness with his arms. But looks good anyway...everyone has to start somewhere. Ive been training most of my life and would love the opportunity to train with wonder boy at least one day. I actually live kinda close to him..I'm from Charleston, SC so it's not too crazy of a drive so maybe one day! It would be a big learning curve when it comes to this style as I have done Muy Thai most of my life and BJJ so it would be different.
Very good point at the start Stephen- you can't condition your Brain..I've seen these Dutch gym videos of guys doing so ...very foolish to say the least.
I'm a huge fan of WB. I do have to say that there's guys who break multiple bricks in a row with their head .You can in fact condition your head. The Shoalin stand on their heads with no hands. I know he means don't punch each other in the head. No free shots to the head kids
Hey Mr.Thompson! Sorry don’t know what to call you, but I have a quick question. How do you condition your feet/heels? Whenever my foot slaps the back of the bag it hurts and I can’t imagine hitting someone full force with a wheel kick without my heel breaking. Love your content!
