This video perfectly illustrates the change scpsl underwent from a casual goofy voice chat game, to a super serious competitive game. Just look at old scpsl videos like those from Criken, where everybody is goofing off in voice chat and having a fun time, then look at new videos like this where it’s all about getting kills and having “sick” jukes. I miss old scpsl honestly.
Agreed 100%, I absolutely loved this game back in 2018. I played the crap out of it (before MCC came to PC.) It's what got me properly into SCP. The goofiness was unparalleled. But the small screaming shooting children ruined it for me. I really haven't played since just because I've been busy and the only time I play is when my friends are on, they don't play SL, so I haven't had a proper experience with the game since. I'm actually curious, with so many changes, I wonder how it plays now, from this guy's videos, it seems a little more competitive, definitely some changes to meta, and the graphics are a little better. I follow NorthWood's channel so I do see what they change. I miss the old SCPs but the new models look great, haven't got to try any of the item one's tho.
@@navb0tactual The game could still be goofy, i'm not saying try harding is wrong but players like robert are pretty rare at least in NA servers. Different people have different ways of having fun and for this guy its competitive scp sl whatever that means.
@@ezh3014 Yeah I binged some sl videos yesterday, it still seems to depend which server you join and what events they have going on. The problem I found before I quit and the occasional time I logged on since then, is that every server I joined seemed to be either: super competitive when I was looking for goofiness, screaming children when I'm looking to chill, or I get TKd when trying to be competitive/taking it seriously because someone's looking for a reaction from trolling. I guess I'm super unlucky lol. I used to play a lot in Disaster Den and a couple other servers I don't remember off the top of my head, they've got a lot of rules now iirc and that ruined some of the fun. I could sift through many servers at different times of the day, that takes hours and although that did pay off a couple of times, it's just not worth it. I'm not in Highschool anymore, I don't have that free time. Do you recommend any particular servers? Anyone's that are specific to chilling shitposting, serious, etc? Anything friendly to new players/unfamiliar?
