I want to connect a Surface Pro 3 (with the docking station) to a plasma screen that has no speakers. Do I get a MS WDA or can I use the Miracast feature to a Google Chromecast?? And I want to send the audio to a speaker system that has a 3.5 mm stereo audio jack. (In the old days I had a breakout cable with an HDMI for the monitor and a coax digital audio out for an audio amp.) How can I send the video to the PDP and the audio to a separate audio amp? thanks!
Hi Zed, thank you for your comment and for subscribing to my channel. I appreciate your support! If your TV doesn't support Miracast, I recommend purchasing the Microsoft WDA. As far as audio is concerned, you should be able to use the audio jack on your computer or docking station to connect audio to another exterior speakers. Then on the computer, change the audio input. Hi, I atche yr Chanel o see if I could lap top to my Zion tv. I measures less than 20 feet. Then I went to connect. Now I ran into problems. I received this lap top from my son who passed away a year and a half ago. I also received a lap top and iPhone. Here in lies the problem I think. I don’t ave any of his passwords. I do have gmail account. I have exfinity Wi-Fi. My tv has not work at all since I got the think. That’s being a nice way to put my feelings about it. I don’t see well. Hi Do you need internet, wifi or a router to cast from the Surface (Windows) to the Windows Display Adaptar? Can I cast without internet or a modem? Plz.
You don’t need the internet to stream using a wireless display adapter or stream directly from the Surface device. It uses a technology called Miracast, which doesn't require wifi.
I want to play dvd's on my computer and stream it onto my tv using VLC and Chromecast. For some reason when I cast it to my tv the screen just goes black. What should I do?
Thanks for the information …..I was able to view my laptop screen to my Samsung Frame 65 inch TV by following your instructions…….however it’s not filling the entire TV screen….it appears to be 3/4 of the TV screen……..QUESTION HOW CAN I PROJECT THE LAPTOP TO FILL THE ENTIRE TV SCREEN
Hi Antoinette, thank you for your question. Is your laptop OS Windows 10 or 11? Go to Settings, System, then Display. Click on the Monitor you want to change, which will be highlight in blue. Then scroll down and Select Display Resolution. Change the resolution to the TV’s resolution 1080 or 4K. Please let me know if this help.

@@Kperryglobal hi thank you Mr. Perry I was on line with Microsoft and they did all the updates to the drivers and it is working now they had to uninstall and reinstall and it is finally working and it’s Windows 11 so a lot of the helpful online for Windows 10 and it’s just driving me crazy but now it’s working so thank you for your reply and thank you for your station. @@marsaangwangchuk3947 you have to change the input/source on the TV to the input/source use to connect the PC. Then press “Windows Key” “P” to duplicate or extend desktop.
doesn't work after every 2 mins it just freezes and loses connection on my qled samsung tv looks good when connected but just loses it even with it right next to the tv
You are have a bad channel because your sign didn't work for my TV I may get and I need a circuit pro not a surface i'm one of those and also this is a rocket TV and it still doesn't have mirrocaster top technology and also you should think about the ones that have the new thing on it the new I'm far below
