If it has that black O-ring, that’s right above the threads, please do not use Teflon. You’re actually going to make it worse and more likely to leak. That black O-ring is specifically there to stop leaks and it doesn’t play well with Teflon tape.

My fridge doesn't have water dispenser, just ice maker. Is it the same procedure? I'm worried "too much water" will come into the refrigerator.

Same procedure, no such thing as too much water. The fridge will only use what it needs.

Now I understand why I sometimes see a white ribbon under the nuts of the connection of the water supply lines. such illiterate video authors cause a lot of problems to people who repeat their terrible mistakes!
