How to Connect at Frankfurt Airport from Terminal 1B Bus to Gate Z69 - Walkthrough 

Aw, I remember watching this before leaving on a trip that connected via FRA. Time has passed so quick! But Frankfurt was a nice city to have a layover trip in, Lufthansa was a brilliant airline, and I liked connecting at the airport! Thanks for the video, I enjoy the ambience of German Airports (I've been to München airport as well).

Thanks, great video. I walked through that tunnel in October to gate B5... Flight was to Toulouse and it was buses on both flights... Next time, I will go to Washington and transit through gates Z

Danke für das interessante Video. Ich war 3 mal in fra aber als Deutscher bin ich immer mit ICE angereist. Der Flughafen ist riesig aber so groß überrascht mich auch. Den Tunnel kannte ich noch nicht. Immerhin ist die Beschilderung gut. Man merkt ansonsten dass es kein Reißbrettdesign ist sondern über Jahrzehnte gewachsen - was bei Flughäfen jetzt kein Lob ist.

Ive been to the airport once, if I remember I traveled from gate A something to Z 51 (i think). A Glorious 5 hour wait time from FRA from KRA. I was walking around and hanging around the area you were at 10:00, mainly at the stores, for about half the time, the other half spending my time riding the on-ground escalators, Litteraly. Any other times I was on my laptop at the gate waiting, which was 5% and the travel adapters were in the luggage, which were being transported to the connecting flight. Other then that I love this airport.

Frankfurt is def. my favorite Airport.. I use to go from Arlanda/Stockholm n change my flight in Fra. to US or to Mexico city. The hours goes pretty fast at Fra. Coz good shopping, Rest. etc.

There's a viewing deck on top of Terminal 2, great for aircraft spotting. Not sure if it's open all-year round though. Also, with 5 hours to spare, you could take a train into Downtown Frankfurt.

Thanks but i already had the flight and i must say not too bad of a wait. I was going to Toronto, Canada and it was my first time passing through Frankfurt. Overall it was a positive experience. Nice Shops and not too tiring to walk around( compared to Munich i prefer Frankfurt). I kept taking the sky train back and forth from Terminal 1 and 2. Next time if i pass through Frankfurt( which i wouldn't mind again) i'll see how to go downtown too:)

Well, it took me even longer than that. What you don't see here is the passport and boarding pass checkpoints just after I got out of the elevator. Despite not many people in front of me, this took another 20 minutes to get through.

Depends where you're coming from and where you're heading to, also what airlines you'll use. From Switzerland to any Non-Schengen destinations, it's definitely too tight when you only got an hour to connect.

You could easily take the S-Bahn to Downtown Frankfurt(15 min ride, exit station "Hauptwache") There you find plenty of restaurants. You can also easily walk from there to the old town part(Römer) and the Old Opera House (along Fressgass aka a street full of restaurants)

I have 1 hour 5 mins layover at Frankfurt airport while going from India to US .I have to reach most probably from Gate B23a to Gate Z19 .To save time I m thinking of going through the skyline train.Can someone guide me if thats a good idea ? and I am aware that Gate Z is on level 3 and Gate A is on level 2 and I can use lift to go from A (level 2) to Z (level3) But from where and which level do I board the train .And what are the stoppages inside Termina1 1 for the skyline? And any other tips are welcome to not to miss the flight because of short duration of layover.

Gab es noch eine Sicherheitskontrolle? Weil ich hab gehört, dass man auf Flügen in die USA durch eine zusätzliche Sicherheitskontrolle muss.

Es hat niemand was dagegen gehabt und es sind mir wohl so einige Mitarbeiter entgegengekommen. Passkontrolle nach dem Aufzug hab ich natürlich nicht gefilmt.

Soon I will be flying from Brussels to Singapore. Arrival at Franfurt will be in termnal 1 gate A (24) and i have to go to gate B (43 - 46) for the Singapore flight. My connection time is 1h15. Can I make this or do I have to change my flights? Thanks in advance for some information.

How long was your wait at passport control ?

This is the worst airport for connecting. I travel Lufthansa 95% of the time due to work, so I've been in and out a gazillion times. ANY connection less than 1 hour 15 minutes is bound to be lost. Specially if you come from international to Schengen. They love to put those in the A68 gates while arriving in the B terminal. Whoever said the 3-hour layover is ideal is 1000% right.

why are there no directions to gate C?
