+Static Alpha Hey no problem. It's fun to help people get into this hobby. I have a 10" Polk sub for a similar setup and love it. Maybe just look for a 10" sub with greater than or equal to 150 watts, but make sure that it has a speaker level connection. Some subs have just RCA connections (red and white). You want speaker binding posts. You'll buy one more length of speaker cable and connect the sub to your Lepai amp by cramming two speaker cables in the clips. Trust me it'll fit and work. The sub doesn't draw power, but just the signal so the amp won't be stressed or anything. Then put on some of your favorite movies and music and play with the crossover setting on the back of the sub. You'll probably end up liking it around 100 or 120 with the small-ish driver that is in the Pioneers. You'll want the sub to grab a larger wand width than if you had tower speakers with larger drivers. Does that help? Let me know how it goes.

Not possible. Stick to the wires. Even if you could go bluetooth you'd still need to feed power to the speakers.

AFAIK, as opposed to IT technology, audio technology has been "maxed out" for decades. So while you won't be getting any money for a computer from the 80s, the sound system might still be worth good money. In other words, the technology of amplifiers hasn't changed in the past 5 years, so this Lepai should be just as good now.

You should be able to. That's just a rating and doesn't denote a minimum power requirement.

The powered subwoofer should have outputs for your speakers.

If the sub has a speaker level connection (i.e. Speaker terminals) you can just run another set of speaker cable from one of the outputs on the Lepai to the subwoofer. The sub doesn't draw current so it doesn't affect the amp. Good luck

TheDutchSandwich that's what I have for testing them. but do I need an amplifier as well? Note: all 4 speaker units (including the smaller, NS-AP5700BLS [Surround]) are 30-100 Watts, so I'm assuming I don't need one.

The onboard audio cards are generally decent DAC's. I've got a SMSL Q5 Pro and some KEF Q150's on order for my PC audio, but I'm going to be going into a dedicated EVGA Nu Audio sound card in my PC via RCA or Optical.

What do you mean by 50-60 volume? You may be clipping. What kind of speakers?

If the Sub has a line level input you can connect an extra speaker cable to one speaker output.

If you have a computer, this amp, and your speakers, you don't even need the interface, unless you use it as a DAC. Just go computer - AUX cable - Lepai Amp - speaker cable - speaker.

I bought a Logitech speaker set with a sub, the power runs through the sub, and from there, there is right speaker and left speaker which use a single rca input. If I were to buy an adapter that makes one bookshelf speakers speaker wire go from the two splits into one rca input on both speakers, would it work and power the speakers?
